"taylor! we are leaving in 20 minutes!" my mom yells from downstairs. today is the day that i get to go to my school of four years, Hinsdale Prep Academy. the school that is 1 and 1/2 hours away from my home. my mom decided to have me go there because HPA has the highest ranked academics and sports in the state, and my mom always wants the best for me.
"okay mom, thank you! ill be down soon!" i grab the final things that i will need until thanksgiving break, which is my laptop, phone, chargers, backpack, makeup case, and my ipad. i throw it all in my bag and grab my pillow. i check my clock and it says "7:42am" meaning i have about 18 minutes to do whatever i want. i grab my phone and decide to text my besfriend, allison.
T: hey girly ):
A: tayy please dont leave me
T: i wish i wasnt...
A: im jumping in your trunk and coming with you.
T: okay and then you can hide in my closet.
A: perfect!
T: uggggh i really dont want to go, im gonna miss you too much
A: the only good reason you are going is because there are prob soo many hot guys at hphs! they are all richhhh!!!!!!!!!!
T: thats actually pretty true
A: you can have them under one condition,
T: and whats that??
A: they need to have a friend for me.
T: alright i gotchu babe
A: craaaaap i got to go ... ILL MISSS YOU TODAY AND FOREVER HAVE FUN ON YOUR FIRST DAY! ill call you after lacross!

i start scrolling through instagram then suddenly i hear a knock, its bryan. bryan is my older brother, if you didnt know.
"hey sissy!"
"hey broo!"
"im not sure how these words are coming out of my mouth exactly, but im going to miss you tay."
"oh my goodness!!! bryan showing affection towards me?? wow thats a change!!" bryan gives me a glare from across the room. "just kidding bro! im gonna miss you too!"
"come give me hug!!"
"woah! another one!"
"taylor, the time will pass if you dont get over here. 3...... 2........" i jump off my bed and go over to my door and give him a hug. but, this hug is different. this isnt a bryan-giving-his-sister-a-hug-hug, this is an actual-feeling-hug.
"i love you tay. and im gonna miss my little sis."
"i love you too bryan, and ill miss my big bro too." bryan's phone buzzes, and he lets go to look at it.
"whoops, sorry to ruin the moment but cass just texted me asking for starbucks before school. gosh, gotta love girlfriends!"
"totally!!"
"i love you tay!!! see you soon!!"
"i love you too! see ya!" bryan leaves my room and i look over at my clock to check the time. "7:54am" i guess its time to go. i grab my things and head downstairs. my mom is sitting at the counter, on her laptop and she looks up at me.
"is my little girl ready to go??"
"ready as ill ever be." we walk outside and i sit in the passenger seat next to my mom. suddenly, we are off.
this is going to be a fun adventure.
