"Hey Allison,someone's here to see you" Brittany said. Brittany was one of the helpers at the orphanage. I looked at her confused just as my best friend,Jordan, walked in. "Hey Ali" "Hey Jordan,Alex Jordan's here!" I yelled to my sister. Alex walked in and said hi to Jordan and sat down on the bed. She's been very down lately. I was about to ask her what's wrong,but Jordan beat me to it."Hey,are you ok Alex?" She just nodded and said she had a headache. I knew she was lying but I decided to let it go until later. Anyways I guess I should tell you about Jordan. He is eight years older than me (which makes him fourteen) and he is like an older brother to me andAlex. He's been with us through everything...and every time I have a nightmare about Jack or Annie he always comes to our side of the orphanage because he is the only person who can calm me down.
*~*~*~* (3 hours later)
My little Barbie watch says it's 6:45 I decided to ask Alex what's going on.
"Alex,why are you so sad" She didn't reply. "Alex talk to me,please" It took a minute for her to answer but she did "I want a mommy and a daddy who love me Ali,no-one loves me" I hugged her and she hugged back. "I love you" I whispered to her. We sat there hugging for like ten minutes until Brittany came up and announced that dinner was ready. We went downstairs and ate then we went upstairs and got ready for bed. Brittany walked into our room and said to dress nice tomorrow because someone was coming. We all knew that meant someone was getting adopted.
