Once upon a time... there was a boy. This boy lived in a kingdom. Which wasn't really a kingdom at all. It was a prison controlled by Sun. Sun, who treated every organism to what they desired and gave everyone happiness. Now, this may sound appealing to anybody out there, but this boy was different. This boy had discovered the moon.

The moon was this mass of lonely rock that came to the kingdom only when Sun was not there. The moon came out when no one was awake to see it. It was alone as it floated throughout the sky sadly wasting away. The moon wallowed in pity.

Sun keep all of the kingdom asleep when gone. All except a young scrawny boy. A boy who, oddly enough, had more power than Sun. Only he didn't know it, yet.

It all started one night, the little boy was having trouble getting to sleep like always. As he laid on his cold, lumpy mattress, he noticed a light shining through his bedroom window. Curiously, he sat up and got out of bed. The boy cautiously made his way to the window and pushed the curtains away. And there, in all its pitiful glory was the moon.

"Oh, hi. I have not noticed you up there before. What are you? Another sun?" The boy speaks.

Now, neither the moon nor the sun could communicate verbally to the citizens. However, they could send vibrations into an organism's brain. Any organism could pick up these vibrations and translate them into words. This system was created for emergency situations. Despite this fact, the moon responds.

"I am the moon. I am neither as great nor as powerful as the sun. I am nothing, but a lonely piece of you."

The boy felt drawn to the moon. He felt as if he could relate to it.

"Well, I am sure that you do not have to be as lonely as you say you are."

"Ah, that is where you are wrong, young human, for Sun has made me this way. Sun is much more valuable than I will ever be. I must follow It's laws as you should. Speaking of, you should sleep, child. Tomorrow is a new day. You will need your energy"

"But when I wake up, I know you will not be with me. I would not want you to be alone like you have been in the past, Sir Moon."

"I will be back the next dark hour. However, you are disobeying Sun right at this moment. Therefore, you must be asleep. And do not call me Sir. I do not deserve you're strong, respectful titles. I am Luna; the small and scrawny."

"Very well, Luna. I shall sleep. Oh, and you may call me Grim; the human."

And so it went on. The boy, Grim would go about his day as normal and at night he would converse with the moon; Luna.

Then, things began to change. Grim had tried to continue his days as normal. But he started to notice that the people of the kingdom were not as happy as they had let on. You see, they enjoyed the glorious things that Sun had gave them. Therefore, they had tricked themselves into believing they were happy. It is only because of all of the items they receive that they are remotely happy. However, their happiness is forced.

"Can we change this?"

"No, Grim. We cannot. We are much weaker than Sun and therefore we would fail if we tried."

Grim refused to believe what Luna had said. He thought that if something was wrong, then it could be changed. For this reason, he began his training. Grim did everything he could to gain more and more power in order to give the people the emotions he had.

He figured that Sun was the one filtering the real. He must defeat Sun.

It was a bright, sunny day when the battle took place. Grim had stood on the roof of a bakery a block from his bedroom. Then, he started yelling at Sun.

"Do you think you are wise? Floating up there while you let your kingdom suffer?"

A crowd had started to form around the bakery. Curiously, they gazed upon the interaction.

"Do you think it is wise to speak that way to your leader, young human? I suggest you stop this instant.," Sun responds.

Grim gestures to the crowd below them.

"Look at them. Gaze upon your loyal people. They may seem happy, but their eyes speak a different story. They are being tortured everyday because of you!"

"You fool! Are you not grateful of the gifts I provide?"

"Why would I be grateful for you taking away the emotion from every single organism in this kingdom? You are a terrible leader and the people would be better off without you."

"And who would be your leader if I was not?"

"Luna."

"You have spoken enough, child. For talking to your leader in a disrespectful tone, you are sentenced to be dead."

Then, Sun hugged Grim. The flames of the massive ball of fire licked the young boy's limbs. He screamed in pain. A scream filled with pure agony. A scream the people of the kingdom with never forget.

That hug had burned all of Grim's skin off. Yet, it, oddly enough, had not killed him. In fact he still walks the kingdom today without Sun's knowledge. Now, Grim always covers himself with a long black robe.

If you recall at the beginning of this story, I had told you that Grim was more powerful than Sun. He had gotten ever more power from Sun's hug. With this power, he takes each member of the kingdom one by one to the moon. As he does this, Sun loses power. It becomes Sun; the weak. Luna, however, gains power. It becomes Luna; the great and kind. And Grim becomes me; the reaper.
