A/N: Heya guys! I'm so excited to finally create a story! And yes i'm sort of new but it won't hinder me from creating lovely stories for you guys. This story is appropriate for all ages. Some of you might just relate to it! Have fun reading it! :))
[Ashley's Prologue]
It's been 3 years since the last time Drake and I talked, no phone calls, no messages, no video calls in skype, like nothing at all just because of that incident that happened on Christmas eve, I don't want to talk about it because it annihilated our friendship, I don't even know if he misses me like I miss him, I miss Florida as well because of those sweet memories that will never fade, one reason why we don't communicate is because of my parents they know how i'm emotionally, mentally and physically down so they've decided to cut our communication or anything that's between us, it wasn't really clear until now.. I loved him and he loved me back and I felt that it was genuine and honest but he was such a jerk! was he really just good at pretending? I mean i've known him since we were young but were we in a relationship or am I just assuming i'm not quite sure. oh well we can't bring back the past and he's not looking for me anyways. if he loved me he could've just made a way, but he didn't... I don't even care anymore. we're miles apart. so what? .......
Okay I lied, i do care. I always think about him and still hoping he's doing fine. I LOVE HIM even though I don't have the assurance if he loves me back...

"Ashi? you're day dreaming again, can't you move on and stop thinking about that ugly duckling Drake, day by day you're looking old"
"I'm sick of hearing that Shawn, don't you get tired of repeating the same sentence all over again, your insults are not working anymore" I said as I woke back again to reality..

btw Shawn is actually my neighbor, we've been friends from the time me & my family moved to Minnesota. he is also a kind of guy who'll insult you till you"ll get used to it.

"I'm just kidding alright haha I just love to make fun of you cause you get pissed of quite quickly haha" he murmured.
"HA--HA-----HA -.- anyways why'd you have to speak so quietly? " I summoned his attention.
"now why do you have to ask so many questions, isn't it my turn to ask for more information about what happened on that " CHRISTMAS EVE" thingy majigy?" he responded.
"Argh, since your so importunate to know okay I will, but first can we grab some coffee it's getting chili out here.

Gosh Ashley don't stare @@ okay fine I admit Shawn looks kinda hot even though it's cold while I look all pale and ugly. but nah who cares. im just gonna make sure I wont be so attached to this guy just like how I got attached to Drake but um yeah maybe Shawn will fall for my charm anyways and I might as well give him a chance.... nah or maybe not haha :p

"Okay Ash how about starbucks?" Shawn said.
"Yeah sure Shawn no problem I'm not a fussy person anyways"
"That's good to know so do you want decaf or reserved?" He asked me before ordering.
" Oh Shawn you always forget that I love Chocolate drinks don't you? one hot chocolate beverage please"

Oh the memories... Drake and I used to also have coffee at starbucks, he didn't even have to ask for my order, he knows every single thing about me... it's quite difficult, eveywhere I go, I remember him... it's hard to forget your childhood buddie who was also your first love.

"One hot chocolate drink for the lovely lady" He implied.
"thanks, but don't call me lovely"
"So going back, how did you and Drake become childhood budds?" He asked.
"Well Shawn obviously it's because we were neighbors plus our parents both negotiated about our own businesses"
"oh okay that was sort of an intro, can you give more information?"
"argh, well everytime our parents had a meeting they bring us too so we played all day, and when we both reached middle school we also enrolled together, we were honestly like siblings, he was like an older brother to me, whenever I get bullied he defends me, and whenever he has homeworks I help him, we were helping each other, when we reached college it was still the same procedure.. okay now are you satisfied?" Ashley said as she drank the chocolate beverage.
"weelll a little but I need more, tell me what happened next until you reached the point where you lost communication" shawn eagerly asked.
" you're lucky i'm in the mood to tell you, back in Florida people use to think that we were together, when we go to beaches, malls & even grocery stores but it was easy enough for us to deny it since we knew within ourselves that there was nothing between us, we were so comfortable with each other, hugging and everything, here comes the interesting part... one day he was acting different, it was like he was ignoring me, well what I did was I grabbed his hand and I began to cry and said:
"Why are you ignoring me Drake??!! what did I do wrong? You dont even answer my calls and messages? The truth is I cant handle it Drake... I cant handle knowing you ignoring me because I think.. I think im catching feeling for you"
"And yes Shawn thats where it all started"
"Ash wait what did he say?"
"argh! Well he hugged me... and in that moment of silence I felt his heart beating and I felt warm and secured especially when he said: I ignored you... because I was afraid of losing you"
"Soo in that very day the spark started and shockingly our parents knew right away and they were happy about it, they even said that they were planning about it since then, so from that day, he picks me up, drives me home every day and every night, we went to parks, beaches, watch netflix together, almost everything, what I really regreted was I didn't ask him"
"Ask him what?" Shawn questioned.
" I forgot to ask him, if there was really an "US" oh I remembered I have to go, it's my curfew maybe next time I'll tell you what happened next okay, anyways thanks for the coffee :) talk to you tomorrow"
"Oh sure I understand, no proooblem :) thanks for trusting me Ash, see you tomorrow.
