Introducing Riley

My life is simple.
I wake up, go to school, complete a day in hell, come home, finish my work, eat, go to sleep and repeat.
I'm a simple teenage girl with no friends, popularity and basically no social life.
My typical school day goes like this; I arrive at school and before I reach the door I get tripped up at least six times, fall on my face at least three of those times and if I'm lucky I get a apple core thrown at my shin. When I enter the building I normally get shoved into everything and everyone until I reach my locker where my longtime best friend, Eldon, is waiting with his video camera, documenting me. It's cute but it's another thing to add to my list of embarrassments. Did I mention that my mum still shops at pumpkin patch for my clothes? I'm 16 and I wear pumpkin patch clothes and I'm also part of the 'no titty committee' and my mum thinks it's cute. Just to add to it all she still makes me put my hair in pig tails.
In class I sit in the middle row. Diagonally behind me is Alfie and next to him is his best friend James. They throw a combination of spit balls, pens, rubbish and the occasional piece of gum at me, all block and they think it's funny. I simply ignore them like how I ignore everyone that teases me.
Pe is the worst, I'm short and lanky and everyone uses it against me. I'm self conscious about myself which makes it all the more worse. Dodgeball seems to be the class favourite much to my dismay since I'm a moving target for everyone including my own team.
Life's just great.
I don't bother telling my mum. She works all the time as a nurse at the hospital while also dealing with a divorce.
Oh yeah one more thing, everyone thinks I'm their sort of personal nerd and I do the work for them. I always hand my assignments in weeks sometimes one month before they're due and everybody seems to find out so during my free time I complete everyone else's work, which is easy cause it's a much, much simplified version of my own but still.

So that's my life, drama free, stress free and boy free and I like it that way.

Hey everyone, I'm starting a new book I hope you guys enjoy. This is basically a lowkey teaser chapter. And I can't wait to write more. I found inspiration to write this through the movie The Duff and I thought, why not. I'm still continuing with After, so these updates for The Bet won't be as frequent but I will be updating it as often as possible. I really hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more :)
