Recap:
“Yeah I would at least you reached the office...”
Ethan stopped in his track.
The file that was working as a barrier between them fell and he saw his friend.
Ethan saw his friend’s blood covered face, see through body.
Ethan fainted at the very sight.
Chapter 1:
Alfred’ POV :
Chaos engulfed the office. The calm office became a fish market in just five minutes.
I was oblivious to it, I couldn’t care less about them. At this point the only person who mattered to me was having a heart attack because of me.
I observed Ethan’s horrified face as they took him in the ambulance. His eyes closed, his breathe ragged, and I had triggered this heart attack...
I feared his heart couldn’t sustain the events that fate had chosen for him.
It was going to be a hard and arduous journey.
“Time is of great essence.” The dark voice breathed in my ears. Soothing my spirit, at the same time damaging it beyond repair...
But it had a weird pleasure in it.
My soul glistened as the voice touched my ears.
“Yes Master.” I replied nervously.
“Good you don’t have much time you know.” The voice threatened.
I gulped. The voice meant business. The dreams of power it had shown me. The glory... the vast amount of control...the future that could be...all depended on my One decision...
To be or not to be...
The darkness once again embraced me showing me what I could be should I wish...which required but one small sacrifice.
I was confused the temptation was too much to deal with...
“Decide fast my child. Choose before we change our mind.”
The voice said again and the darkness left me bare to face the world.
Someone walked through me.
The lady sprinted in the hallway.
“What happened? How is he?”
I recognised her voice immediately, I was a fool not to have realised who she was.
Rose asked the doctor worried.
“He’s okay Mrs. Andrews, please wait here.”
Whoever said, in death, all things become clear, was a fool.
I’m dead and nothing was clear to me.
I was confused, more confused than I ever, was when I was alive.
The only thing that was clear to me was that Ethan Andrews can’t die. He was needed. I needed him.
“He must not die.” I muttered to myself.
People,
I know it’s too short.
But if you like it, don’t forget to vote.
I’ll be happy with even one vote :)
