Katelyn rolled out of bed and checked the time.

2:45

She rubbed her icy blue eyes, yawned and sleepily trudged downstairs.

Her ebony haired friend looked away from her boyfriend and up at Katelyn.

'Morning Elsa!' Aphmau chirruped.

Katelyn shot her a glare sharper than Aaron's jaw line. 'Shut up pony freak' she sneered.

Aphmau just laughed,' Dam, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, huh?'

Katelyn walked into the kitchen. 'I'm going to the park for some peace and quiet. Call me if you need me.'

'Ok, whatever you say Katelyn. Just try not to almost die this time.' Aphmau said through a smirk.

Katelyn groaned and ran back up the steps.

Travis stepped out of the house into the fresh afternoon air. He glanced up and down the street.

No people, no cars, no nothing.

The park was quite full of people.

Parents watching their kids run around. Couples having picnics by the lake. Dogs barking and birds chirping.

The sun was beating down on Katelyn as she walked into the park entrance. She set her pacer, and began running around the lake.

Travis sat down under a big Willow tree with his sketch pad. He looked around for some inspiration.

That's when his gaze rested on Katelyn.
He looked up at her nonchalantly as she ran by, and stuck out his leg.

478, 479, 480. Katelyn watched her pacer as she ran, so she didn't notice Travis' leg stuck out on the path.

One minute she was running, minding her own business, the next she was falling. The ground was getting closer, and closer and closer.

Katelyn's closed her eyes. She was just about to hit the ground, when she made impact with something hard, but soft.

Sorry! This chapter is also kinda short. And I know what ur thinking, why the cliff-hanger?! Well lemme just say, there's gonna be a major plot twist...DUN DUN DUNNNN! Anyway😂 Have a gr8 day/night!
