Chapter 7

~NIALL'S POV~

I wake up to white. White everything. Where was I? Oh yeah, I was in a hospital. And I'm getting out today. Thank god. I couldn't stand this place any longer, especially the food. I would've died if it wasn't for the Nando's Louis had brought me yesterday after everyone had left. There was nothing to do besides check my twitter or draw so I decided to check my twitter.

I scroll down some more. Thankfully, the media didn't know about my freezing to death, and I don't want them to know.

I turn off my phone and set it on top of my sketch pad. Then, I heard a knock. Who could it be? Everyone had already visited me.

"Come on in!" I say.

Roni opened the door and so did Kat, along with the lady that helped us adopt the girls.

"Hey," Roni runs over and gives a hug. Kat does the same. To be honest, they don't look happy. There were no sparks in her eyes, and they had loads if makeup covering their dark circles.

"I'll wait in the front," the old lady says. The girls nod and she leaves.

"What happened?" Kat asks. I explain everything again. It was starting to get annoying.

"You know where Kara is?" Kat asks.

I slowly nod. "Why?"

Roni pulled a note out of her hoodie.


Dear Roni and Kat,

I know you're mad at me but please keep this a secret from the other people okay? So yesterday night, I snuck out. I don't know where I am going to go or what I am going to do but just as a reassurance, I will be fine. Oh yeah, and I love you guys, and if you guys love me, don't tell anyone.

"She works in the Starbucks across my flat. She lives with one of her employees named Larissa."

"We're gonna go see her," Roni says. "Bye." I wave a quick bye and they leave.

~KARA'S POV~

I wake up at around five. Wow, I actually woke up by myself really early. Good job Kara! I change into a sunflower sundress, a heart necklace, an infinity ring, and some white Vans. I straightened my hair and applied mascara and met Larissa in the kitchen. I smile and grab a donut.

"Ready to go?" She asks. I nod and we drove to work.

Larissa parked the car and we got out.

"KARA!" I heard a familiar voice. No it couldn't be. I was mad at them. I know I wrote that I loved them but I just wanted to be nice. I ignore it thinking it was just my head messing with me.

"KARA!" I heard it again. I couldn't take it. I turned around to see two familiar faces. "Mrs. Cassie is in the car. We didn't tell her. We just said we were gonna get Starbucks." I just look at them.


"KARA TALK TO ME!" Kat screamed. We were causing a scene outside. A few people had stopped to watch. Mind your own business please.

"What?" I said. Wow, that came out ruder than I expected.

"What happened?" Roni asked.

"You guys. You let me leave. You guys didn't even care or bother looking. That's what happened."

"We did."

"No you didn't. You only came after Niall told you I was working here right?" I say,"Yes that's exactly what happened. I have a life now. A new best friend. "I pull Larissa over."See this girl right here." I hug Larissa. "She took me in when you guys took me out. She took care of me when you guys didn't." Larissa was blushing.

"Look Kara, you didn't have to say that," Larissa says.

"Yes I did." I ignore her and face torwards Roni and Kat. "Why are you still here? Get your ugly asses outta my face please." I shoo them away.

"No." Roni says.

"C'mon lets go Roni. I can't believe you Kara. What happened? We aren't supposed to follow you everywhere. We have our own lives. And if you were wondering, we got adopted by a nice couple. We're going to the USA in a few weeks and living in California. Bye bye." And they left.

She was right, in a way, but I was too. They walked off not looking back. I stood there in shock. They were moving, to the USA. An ocean away. I didn't give a shit. Then, Larissa tapped my shoulder.

"Julie just called. We have the day off." She says.

"Okay, how bout we go to the beach with One Direction?" I ask.

"YES!"

"LOUIS PUT ME DOWN!" Larissa screams. "AAH!" And then a splash. Louis dropped Larissa into the water. She then gets up and they look in the eye. Louis leaned in and so did Larissa. I grab my phone out just in time to take a picture of them kissing. Aww it was so cute!

"Your turn," Niall says as he runs torward me.

"No no no NO!" He scooped me up and ran to the ocean and threw me in. I have to admit it was quite romantic though. "YOU JERK!"

"Hey I live for these moments." He smirks but then he becomes all serious. "About you're tweet."

"Hey I said I'm going through a lot but we can be friends." I say. Wow, was friend zoning the Niall Horan. I never thought that I would say that.

"Fine," he states. We walk back and I dry off. Zayn, Liam, Larissa, and Louis, and Harry were now playing volleyball.

"Wanna join?" Niall asks.

"Let's go!" We walk to Zayn. "Can we play?"

"Yeah." Zayn says. "Niall go with me and Harry and Liam and you, Kara, can go with Louis."

"I'm so beating you," I say.

"In you're dreams Kar-kar," Niall retorted. We play for a while when...

"FIRE!" Someone yelled. I look to see a fire starting in then shack by the beach.
