Chapter 1:

I mumbled something soon sitting up at the sound of buzzing and screaming of the alarm in my ear . I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stood up. My balance soon regaining and walking into my bathroom .

I took a quick shower noticing the old and new scars that were scattered across my body . Who knew loosing someone so close to you could be such a painful feeling .. I got out brushing my death breath away and cleaning my face with a remover to make me look fresh . I went back into my room and changed into grey legging , a white cropped shirt and my black adidas hoodie with electric white stripes . I slid my black superstars on my feet and grabbed my bag full of my unnecessary things .

" Good Morning Madison " my step mom beamed at me as I walked down the stairs .
She was wearing one of my dads sweaters and yoga pants . She seemed happy in a way and I was Furious at that .

" how can you be happy that he's gone ?! He's dead and has been for a week now do you know how much pain me and my dad are going through and you think it's okay to be happy . His funeral is soon and I'm hoping you are not going to be there when I say good bye to my brother and my best friend ! " I screamed at her tears prickling to my eyes . " Madison I didn't know yo. " " Coz your so clueless to think . "

" I'm sorry mad.." " I don't want to hear it ! " I walked out of the house and bumped into Shawn . My bestfriend of 14 years now .

" Madison hey ! " " hi Shawn " " baby what's wrong " " its nothing " his face was scrunched as his eyes darted around my face looking for a source to my mood .. Tears fell down my face . A frown grew on his face and he pulled me into a tight hug . I sobbed into his chest as he stoked my head swaying us side to side .

" tell me before we pick the guys up . I'm worried " he held my hand and I got into the passenger seat of his truck and he got into the drivers seat .

" Maddie . What's wrong . You've never cried In Front of me before and it hurts me .. Pleas what's is bothering you so dearly to make my best friend cry " he was turned to me looking me straight in the eyes his warm brown ones mixing with my grey ones . His thumb wiping my tears away .

" ever since Jacob died .. I've just hated everyone and everything . I had an argument with the witch bitch this morning she's so happy and me and my dad are in so much pain . Shawn I don't know what to do anymore ." I finally said soon breaking down in a fit of tears . My head dug into his shoulder as he held me against him not letting me go.

" listen Madison . Jacob was such a great guy and he died so young I know but he still loves you regardless . He's watching you right now and crying aswell . He hates to see you cry and so do I .. Please wipe away your tears . Your a strong , amazing , beautiful girl Madison and I would die to be your boyfriend .. So i could look after you when your ill or upset and so I can make sure your happy with me and your happy in general wether that means never letting you go then I'm willing to give everything up for you . Madison you need to trust me "

I nodded and hugged him tight .

" I trust you Shawn . " I said kissing his wet shoulder . He smiled and placed a piece of hair behind my ear . " your look beautiful today may I say princess " I blushed at him comment and hid my face . He chuckled and began to drive picking up all the other guys and soon driving to school .

- Lunch -

I was sat with Shawn , Cameron and Aaron Shawn next to me and cam and Aaron opposite us . " so when's the wedding guys ?? " Aaron asks smirking . " what ? " me and Shawn questioned . " oh stop looking so innocent . We all know you both have a thing " Cameron said smirking at us ..

" trust me guys .. There's nothing yet " Shawn said holding my hand under the table . They ooohhhhed at us and laughed . " but seriously when's the wedding and are we invited " they had straight faces but couldn't hold it in and laughed more and more .. Me and Shawn just laughed at them .

" they're stupid Madison . Ignore my IMMATURE. Friends please " Shawn growled . Soon they stopped laughing and looked scared which made me laugh .

We finished lunch and went to English with Shawn . I sat in my seat and took notes . I but my lip in frustration and kept scribbling down the notes my teacher was whizzing through .

I got a text and looked at my phone .

I giggled and looked at Shawn who was looking at me with love in his eyes . I turn back to continue with the class . I started to doodle in my art book which was next to me and chewed on the flesh of my check violently . A pain shot through my body and I whimpered .

I put my hand to my mouth and noticed the blood that returned with it . I grabbed a tissue and Ran out the class and to the bath room .
I cut the inside of my mouth open . I placed a tissue into my mouth and suddenly the door opened to reveal Shawn looking worried .

" Shawn what are you doing here ?! " " you ran out the class , I came to see what was wrong " " I cut my mouth open that's all . " I reassured him . He smiled and helped me clean it . We walked back into the class room and continued with the work . Soon the bell went off and I left .
