"DAMNIT" I say angrily, my voice muffled to keep from waking my siblings, Ryan Brian Casey Nicole, and the twins, Sydney and Lynn, who are the easiest to wake up, but the hardest to get to sleep. Besides me, Ryan and Casey are the second, and third oldest, and are the only ones who are actually my full brother and sisters, but the others all have different fathers, because my father died a few years after Casey was born. Ryan is 12, two years younger than me, and Casey is 11. Nicole is 8, Brian is 6, and the twins, as said, are 10 months old, almost 11 in a few days.
Casey and Nicole share a room with me, but we have a curtain that separates their side, from mine. in the room to the left is Ryan and Brian's room, and to the right, is Sydney and Lynn, but we have a curtain over an old door frame from my room, to theirs, so I can get to them quickly.
Anyways, back to before, my disease failed in killing the human race, I'm playing a video game obviously, sadly I'm no mad scientist that is smart enough to start a virus that will spread like wildfire and take out the whole humans population and end all the stupid tyranny and war. But as I said, I'm playing Blackwater spread. Basically the main goal is to create a virus, bacteria, or parasite, and try to wipe out the entire world population. And my luck hasn't been to great so far.
I look over at my clock to check the time, 12:16 am, Paul should be here soon. Oh yea, Paul is my best friend, I've known him since kindergarten, when we devised a plan to free the class pet, Rodney the hamster, from his cage and into the wild, it didn't go as planned for we were 5 year olds, but we did manage to help Rodney escape into the halls of Plainview elementary. We've been best friends ever since. He comes over at 12:20 every night to keep me company, because he doesn't like the idea of me being awake and alone all night, so he spends a few hours at my house, sitting on the roof with me and shit talking all the assholes in school.
I restart the game, determined to win.
"If only I could start off with Madagascar, it's almost a guaranteed win every time!" I muttered in frustration. I check the virus option a begin to upgrade my disease again. "I just don't get it, my design is almost flawless..." I say running a hand through my short, black, choppy, hair.
"trying to destroy the world again I see?" a voice whispered from my window. I look to my side to see Paul kneeling on the roof and peeping his head through the half open window. I just giggle an walk over to him.
"Yes, and it's not going exactly as I had planned." I said flicking him in the nose and nudging him to the side as I climbed out to sit next to him.
I climbed out onto the flat ledge above the window and laid down, my head resting on my arm as I stared up at the stars above. My eyes scanned the sky, when I found what I was looking for I smiled.
"See that one?" I asked him, pointing to the sky and tilting my head slightly to find him staring at me, he quickly snapped his head back up and looked at the sky. Pink colored his cheeks. "Are you ok? you seem sick."
"Uh, what? OhNoImFine." he said quickly, the words slurring together.
"Whatever you say bud." I said and looked back at the sky again. "Anyways, see that star?" I asked again, pointing skyward.
"That one?" he asked, pointing to one slightly to the right.
"Um, no, to the left a little, uh no that's too far to the left," I said letting out a slight laugh. "Here, let me help you." I said taking his hand in mine, and pointing towards the star. "That one, right there." I said, still holding his hand as I turned to look at him, his cheeks were flushed red and he was staring nervously at the spot in the sky.
"Uh, uh y-yea I see it." he said with a stutter, his cheeks growing even redder.
"Are you sure your not sick, you don't seem too well." I said letting his hand out of my grasp and touching his forehead, "You're warm." I said concerned, taking my hand off his head.
