"Beep, Beep, Beep!" Is the sound I wake up to on this dreadful morning. It's 6:30 A.M and I'm seriously not wanting to go to my "new school." I get up anyways and start getting ready for the day. I go into the bathroom and look at myself. I have straight, long, brown hair and hazel eyes. I am an average build and average height, acceptable enough.

As I make my way downstairs for breakfast, both my parents are grinning brighter than my future. They're acting so excited for me when all I want to do is go hide under my covers. But instead of doing that I just take in all there love and happiness.

Since it's the first day, my parents insisted on driving me to school, which I thought would be best. On the way there my mom just keeps blabbing about how "if something happens call me" or "I'll be picking you up at 3." I just sit there zoning out knowing that she's totally over exaggerating my first day.

When we pull in, I'm greeted by a huge tan building that reads "Fulkerson Middle School." The building looks like one of those fancy banks you see every now and then. Not to mention there are kids everywhere! All kinds of shapes and sizes. Just looking at all the kids makes me cringe. I have no idea what to do, who to make friends with, or where to go!!

My parents drop me off and it's like I was dumped on the side of the road, I don't have a clue what to do. Next thing I know the bell rings and all the kids start piling in until it's just me. Panicking I just follow them. I go up to this group of girls and ask, "Can you tell me where the principles office is?"
"Up your butt and around the corner!" A girl with straight red hair says. I just give them "the look" and walk away to go ask someone else.

As I'm trying to find my way to the office I run into this boy.
"Oh sorry," I say.
"It's fine," he says grinning.
"Do you know where I can find the principles office?"
   "Yes, right this way."
  "Thanks!"
"No problem, are you new here?"
   "Yes, I transferred from California."
"Oh really? I've always wanted to visit there!"
    "It's amazing."
"I'm Adam by the way." He says while extending out his hand.
"Abigail," I say while meeting his hand and shaking it.
"Oh here we are, he says with a giddy smile on his face."
"Oh thanks so much, see you around."
"See ya Abigail."
I can't help but blush at his cute remark. he was pretty good looking.

As I enters the principles office, it smells of perfume and sweaty feet, not a good mix. I walks over to the door of the principles office and knock. The door swings open and I walk right in.

"Hello I'm Abigail Watson."
"Oh, you must be the new student," he says with a smirk.
" yep that's me!"
"Nice to meet you miss Abigail, I'm Mr. Kupp, Your principle here at Fulkerson Middle School."
"Lovely! Do you happen to know where I can get my schedule for the year?"
"It's right here," he says while holding up the sheet of paper. "Just let me call down your buddy for the day."
    "Buddy for the day?"
"You know another student that will show you around for the day and help you to know where you're going."
     "Right," I say embarrassed.

After a few minutes of waiting for my  "buddy of the day," the door finally clicks open. A girl with curly blonde hair and green eyes walks into the office. She is average build and average height, shes very pretty.
   "Hello Gretchen," says Mr.Kupp.
   "Hello Mr. Kupp," Gretchen says.
" This is Abigail Watson, she's a transfer from California and I would like for you to be her buddy for the day."
"Oh of course sir, it would be my pleasure."
"Well then I won't keep you two from learning, bye bye now."
"Later," says Gretchen while pulling on my wrist and slamming the office door.

"Gosh, that man's scary!" Says Gretchen.
      "I know right," I say.
She smiles before saying,"Hi I'm Gretchen Waters."
        "Wow what a pretty name!"
"Haha thanks," she says while blushing slightly.
        "And I'm Abigail Watson."
         "Nice to meet you Abigail."
          "You too Gretchen."

We make our way to first period, turns out were in all of the same classes! As we walk down a series of hallways I notice for the first time how big this school actually is. They have a million rooms and hallways and doors! If I didn't have Gretchen by my side I would definately get lost! Our first period is Science, which I'm pretty excited about since science is my favorite subject. After what feels like forever we make it to the classroom. I  grab the door handle, eager to see what lays behind the door and click the door open.
