Kiko walks for a while until we reach the Gotham City airport.
"Where are we. . . .?"
"Shush." Kiko flashes a huge smile at the lady. "Two tickets to the Republic of Padokea please."
The lady's raises an eyebrow. "Aren't you a little young. .? Where are your parents?"
"They're getting food. They asked us to buy the tickets." Kiko grins innocently.
"For two people?"
"They already got th-theirs. A couple unexpected people are coming w-with us," I cough.
The lady sighs. "The earliest flight is leaving in three hours." We nod and she hands us our tickets. "Now shoo."
Kiko's eyes flash with slight anger, but she walks away.
After about an hour of silence, Kiko sighs. "You're one of the first people I've met recently that's my age.
. You're also the first person I've spared."
"Why did you?"
Kiko's eyes widen and she looks at me with shock.
"Why did you save me? I'm clearly not worth anything"
"I needed to kill those guys anyway."
What? "Why didn't you kill me then? Whoever you're working for probably wouldn't mind you killing an extra person."
She sighs. "First of all, I'm not working for anyone. Secondly, I saw something special in you. You've got potential."
My eyes widen. I'm trembling but ignore it. I. . . .I do. .? "You're the first person to say that to me. . . ." Kiko looks at me with a hidden tone of sadness.
Passengers of the plane flying to the Republic of Padokea your plane is leaving in thirty minutes.
"Damn it. . . . We won't make it in time. . . . ." Kiko grabs me in one arm, holding the tickets in the other, and sprints off towards the plane. She hands the lady our tickets and walks up the stairs to the plane, setting me down in a seat next to her, near the back.
"Wow," I mutter and Kiko blushes.
I close my eyes, and in no time, I'm asleep.
