Kylie's POV

We were 16 when Harry (finally) auditioned for the X Factor. I'd been bugging him to do it for years but he always said that he's "too young"

Rubbish.

I'll never forget that day

*flashback*

"Ugh I'm never going to finish this essay in time" I groan, staring at the blank piece of paper in front of me. I've been sitting at my desk all day because my dad said I can't leave the house until I finish this. And he knows Harry's leaving today. Grrrrrr.

"Can I come in, thank you" Harry says while stepping inside my room, smiling. His smile falters when he sees me. "Kyles, lay down on the bed." I look at him confused

"Why do you wan-"

"Just lay down." he demands

"Okay?" the instant my back touches the mattress he starts tickling me to death. What's with this boy and tickling? "AH GET OFF ME HAROLD!" I squeal. Surprisingly, he does as I say so and sits down next to me. "What was that for?" I say and hit him with a pillow

"You looked pretty stressed and I wanted to see you smile" he says while smiling cheekily.

"You could've just told me one of your lame jokes instead of tickling me to death" I reply. He fake gasps and puts his hand on his heart

"They are NOT lame!" he says

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Okay I'll tell you one of them, and then you can say they're not lame" I tell him

"But they're NOT-"

"What do you call the roof of a doghouse? A woof!" I cut him off. He stays silent for a minute

"I need to get a new joke book" he says while shaking his head. I laugh

"Why are you here anyways? Aren't you supposed to be packing?" I ask him

"I fiished this morning. I'm here to help you with your essay!" he exclaims while walking to my desk. "Now, let's get this finished" he says. I nod

*later*

We finally finished this stupid essay! I tackle Harry into a hug "THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!!" I yelled. I swear I saw him blush for a second. Hmm. Then he started laughing

"No problem, now let's go for a walk!"

"Yay!" I say and sprint to the door. I heard Harry mumble something. Not sure what he said but I think I heard the word love. Oh well.

We walked in silence. Not awkward, but comfortable. It just struck me that he'll be leaving. Today. Oh gosh. I'm starting to regret telling him to audition. "I'm going to miss you" he blurted out

"I-I'll miss you too" I admitted. Now I feel like crying. Don't cry don't cry don't cry don't cr-

"Hey hey hey don't cry" Harry says while wiping away a tear that slipped. Dang it. "I'm going to call you whenever I can, alright?" I only nodded since I have a big lump in my throat. Then he pulled me in for a hug and kissed my cheek, lingering his lips there for a moment. I heard his phone buzz. "Mum says it's time to leave soon, so we should be heading back"

"Oh um okay" I spoke. He grabbed my hand and we started heading back

We were hugging for like the 50th time. I don't want to let him go. He's going to leave and it's all my fault. Why'd I have to tell him to audition? Whyyyyyy??? We finally pulled apart and I kissed him on the cheek "Don't forget to call me, kay?" he nodded, hugged me one more time, a peck on the cheek (lingering longer this time) and got into the car. I stood by my parents and waved to him. He waved back and that was it. He's gone now, out to live his dream

*end of flashback*

After that the only times we saw each other was over Skype. He kept his promise and called me every chance he got

Harry's POV (this is the same scene)

*flashback*

"Can I come in, thank you" I say walking into Kylie's room. Kylie. Everything about her is just perfect. Anyways back to reality. My smile falters when I see her stressed-out face. I want to see her smile today. Oh right, her dad told me about that essay of hers. Hmm...

"Kyles, lay down on the bed" I say. She looks at me really confused.

"Why do you wan-"

"Just lay down" I cut her off

"Okay?" she says. Right when she lays down I start tickling her. What? Needed to see that beautiful smile of hers somehow. Stop it Harry. You don't like Kylie. Right. I don't like Kylie. I don't like Kyl-

"AH GET OFF ME HAROLD!" she squeals. I do as she says so. "What was that for?" she asks and hits me with her pillow.

"You looked pretty stressed and I wanted to see you smile" I say while smiling cheekily. Oh god Harry stop making it obvious. What? I'm not making anything obvious because I don't like her. Yes you do. No I don't. Yes you do. Oh great now I'm talking to myself. Just great.

"You could've just told me one of your lame jokes instead of tickling me to death" she replies. I fake gasp and put my hand on my heart

"They are NOT lame!" I tell her

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Are too"

"Are not"

"Okay I'll tell you one of them, and then you can say they're not lame" she tells me

(blah blah imma skip this part)

I helped her finish that essay. Finally. She get out of her house and spend time with me. She tackled me in a hug and yelled "THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!!"

I love you. I felt my cheeks heat up. Ugh Harry stop it! She means it in a friendly way. I start laughing

"No problem, now let's go for a walk!" I say

"Yay!" she says and sprints to the door.

"And I love you too" I mumble

We were walking in silence. I loved it, but I needed to talk to her. "I'm going to miss you" I blurt out.

"I-I'll miss you too" she said. A tear rolled down her cheek. Oh no. The last thing I wanted was to see her cry.

"Hey hey hey don't cry" I say while wiping away that tear. "I'm going to call you whenever I can, alright?" she nods. I pulled her in for a hug and kissed her cheek. God I wish I could freeze this moment. Then my phone buzzed. Thank you Mum for ruining this beautiful moment. Note sarcasm. "Mum says it's time to leave soon, so we should be heading back" I reluctantly tell her

"Oh um okay" she says. I grab her hand and we started heading back. I hold her hand all the time, but this time it felt-different-in a good way. I wonder if she feels it too.

We were hugging again and I don't want to let her go. I don't want to audition anymore. I just stay here, hugging Kylie. We finally pulled apart and she kissed me on the cheek. "Don't forget to call me, kay?" she says. I only nod because of the stinging sensation on my cheek. A good feeling. I wanted more of it. But I had to go real soon. I hugged her for the last time, pecked her cheek longer than I inteneded and got in the car. She waved to me and I waved back until I couldn't see her anymore.
