Saved By The Dead

Part 2 ~

After leaving the Skype call, I leaned back in my chair and took off my headphones. I had to rewind the situation. Did that just happen? She said yes, without hesitation? I was so happy and the smile that stretched across my face would not disappear.

I hadn't eaten in a while so I went to grab some food. Walking into the kitchen, I realized my sister was sitting at the table. She looked at me strangely,

“Why so smiley, huh?” she asked curiously, laughing.

“Well, wait until Pax and I will show you!” She had never met Alex before, so I was going to introduce them to each other there.

“Meanwhile I am about to starve, and I see you are making sandwiches, could I have one?” She laughed and nodded. I walked past a mirror in the hallway and saw how much I was blushing! I looked like a cherry!

***** 1 Hour later *****

Jerome was talking to me on Skype; we were arranging how we would all get to his house tomorrow. We decided that Adam would drive me, Alex and Ian to Jerome’s and meet up with everybody else there. My sister would get there later.

“Sounds like a plan!” I exclaimed. Then we hung up and I text Alex the plan, she seemed really happy about it. The smile was back! It was getting kind of late so I decided to go to bed. I would have to get up kind of early in the morning; Adam was coming to pick me up at 8am. That was early enough for me anyway.

***** The Next Morning *****

“GET UP!” my sister screamed at me, shaking me by the shoulders. I took no notice and simply rolled over.

“Seriously get up, you gotta get ready to go!” she laughed. Only then did I look over at my clock and see that I only had 30 minutes. At that, I freaked out and jumped off my bed. I completely meant to do that… At least I remembered to pack for this though, that saved me some time! I usually forgot that anyway. By the time I was ready, I literally had 5 minutes left, and Adam had arrived outside with Alex, we were going to pick up Ian next. Until we picked him up, me and Alex could actually spend time together, in person as we had only seen each other a few times. Those few times had been some of the happiest, and every night I thought about them.
