Bruno was there within 15 mintues. He knocked on the door, quicker, and harder than usual. I opened the door and let him in. He looked worried. “What’s wrong baby?” He asked, pulling me into a hug. “It’s Emelio.” I said into his shoulder. “What about him?” Bruno sounded slightly angry. I pulled away from his hug. “Well, I was in my bed, on Facebook. When I heard a knock on my window, I opened it and Emelio was there. I let him in and he asked me a question.” He looked at me, waiting for me to finish. “We were sitting on my bed, as I was answering his question. Next thing I know, he was leaning in to kiss me.” Bruno looked angry and hurt. Wow, the same look twice in one night.

“What happened?” He said. “I panicked and put a pillow in front of his face.” Bruno expression changed from hurt to laughter. “Then I told him to leave.” Bruno hugged me and kissed my forehead. “You are the best girlfriend ever.” He said as he hugged me again. I smiled. “I know.” I tickled his ribs. He jumped back and laughed. An all-out tickle war broke out. He won, naturally. He had me pinned on the couch and was tickling my feet. “Mercy!” I said through obnoxious laughter. He stopped. He laid next to me on the couch. “Bruno?” I said once I was breathing normally again. “Yea, baby?” He said the laughter still on his face. I laid my head on his chest. “Will you talk to Emelio, please? I mean he’s cool and all, but….” My voice trailed off. He hugged me.

“Yes I will.” I sighed a sigh of relief. I looked up at him, my head still on his chest. “Random question.” I said. “If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?” He looked at me. I knew he was thinking hard. He finally looked at me. “Absolutely nothing. Ciara, you what I believe? I looked at him, waiting for him to finish. “I believe that everything happens for a reason. Every person has their destiny set out for them. Every raindrop has a purpose.” I mulled this over. I smiled and looked up at him. “Do you think I’m your raindrop?” He looked at me and kissed me on the forehead. “Yes you are. I’m so blessed to have you.” “I’m blessed to have you too Bruno.” Bruno smiled. “What time is it?” I said yawning. “12:45AM. You should get some sleep baby, you look tried.” “Will you stay with me?” “Of course.”

I snuggled against Bruno’s chest. Next thing I know I fell asleep with Bruno singing into my ear. In the morning, I woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. I was in my bed, covered up. I threw off the covers and ran downstairs. Bruno was sitting at the kitchen table, smiling. I stood there with my mouth open. The table was made up with a single red rose in a small vase in the center. There was a professional chef in my kitchen, working furiously with his back turned. A waiter came out of nowhere. “Ciara, right this way.” He said with a surprisingly genuine smile. He led me to my small kitchen table, and I sat across from Bruno. “You don’t mind them here, do you?”

He gestured to the handsome waiter and the overweight chef, who still had his back turned. “N- No not at all.” I said, still stunned. I picked up the rose and smelled it. It was so fresh, so delicate. “Bruno, you didn’t have to do this…” I said, looking around. The windows were open and it felt like a scene out of a movie. “I know.” He said matter-of-factly. His smile widened when the waiter came with my plate of food. The plate was beautifully arranged. There we’re two pancakes and a small pile of bacon. The chef then sat down a glass and pitcher of orange juice. I smiled. “How did you know?” He laughed.

“Lucky guess.” He said through a dazzling smile. “I love orange juice!” I said looking at the pitcher. “Who doesn’t?” I smiled. Bruno and I sat an ate our breakfast talking about random things. “Thank you so much for the breakfast Bruno.” I said as the waiter took my plate. “No problem babe.” We got up and went to the living room. “What are you doing today?” I asked. “I have to go to the studio later.” “Sounds fun.” “Yeah it can be challenging at times.” “How so?” “Just putting lyrics and beats together to fit the songs.” “That’s understandable.” “Yeah. What are you doing today?” “Umm I don’t know. Maybe hangout with some friends today.” “That’ll be nice.” I nodded. “Well I better get going, I have to get home to clean myself up and to the studio.” Bruno said walking to the door.
