"Hey! Girl wake up!" I heard a girls voice shout.

"What the fuck Jesse!?" I groaned while covering my face with my pillow.

"You're going to be late for school" she said pulling the covers off of me and opening up the blinds.

"And I care because..?" I said getting out of my bed.

"Because your turning 16 today!" jesse said jumping up and down.

"And I care because..?" I asked again.

Jesse stopped jumping and crossed her arms over her chest. "Well because it's your birthday! You have to be happy on your birthday" she said frowning.

"Well I'm not. You know I don't celebrate my birthday. It's no big deal anyways." I said, walking into my en-suite.

"Fine but you know today you might fine your mate."

"Well yay for me" I sarcastically remarked. "I don't care if I find him. What if he rejects me? I am crazy after all" I said and it's true I have four old brothers to prove it. They all think I'm crazy because I am . And I know it. If I eat anything with sugar I'll be bouncing off the walls like a ball. It always looks like I'm on drugs when I'm hyper. Which happens a lot, more often then you think.

I walked out of the bathroom and went into my closet getting something out to wear. I picked out my black shorts, white and red tank top and my red converse sneakers.

"Amanda I have to tell you something" Jesse said. I turned around and looked at her.

"what is it?" I anxiously asked. Jesse was nervous. She's never nervous.

"Umm.. I-umm I found my..mate" she twiddled with her thumbs and looked down.

"YOU WHAT?!" I yelled. Jesse was only a day older then me meaning that she turned 16 yesterday.

"Shh! Jeez Amanda" Jesse said blushing like crazy.

"when?" I said a little less loud than before.

"Yesterday when we were in school"

"Is that why your rushing me? It wasn't because you don't want me to be late?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"it's Kevin.." she said, looking everywhere in my room but at me.

"Yes. I know it's weird but yeah I don't know you know I've been having a crush on him since forever but I never knew he would be my mate" Jesse said with a smile playing on her face.

"Well I'm happy for you but don't be kissing and having lovey eyes in front of me. Seriously its just weird but I'm happy for you too" I said smiling as I started to get dressed.

"Thank you. Now hurry up!" Jesse said giggling at the end.

I started to curl my hair and apply some very light makeup to my face. When I was done I nodded at myself in the mirror, approving my look.
