A/N~hey everyone! I'm loving writing my other book, so I'm thinking about taking a break from this one. Plus, I have been on 199 reads for a week and a half. I think it's time to focus on Dancers' Guide to Life now. If you say you want this to continue, be my guest, I will write this until the epilogue. Just know one thing-I won't like it as much as I like writing Dancers Guide. Just take a moment to go over that in your head, alright? Thanks! Bye!💖😍😊🤗😉👍🏼😂😱❤️🤑😏
Shawn's P.O.V.
I'm taking Cayley out for dinner tonight. She is the one who suggested Hard Rock Café, so we be going there. Happy wife, happy life, right? Or, at least, happy girlfriend. I'm nowhere near ready for a date yet, let alone a wife. I think I'm going crazy (see what I did there? Crazy, a Shawn Mendes song? No? Okay, I'll just...) .
"Shawn!?" I heard Cayley scream through the back door. "It's locked! I can't get in!" I let her use the back door because we have been dating for a while now. I think Johnson still likes her, though!
"Coming!" I sighed, laughing. When I got there, I saw her through the little glass piece on the door. She was impatiently waiting for me. I unlocked the door and she ran through the frame, hugging me.
"I haven't seen you in forever!" She said.
"I know! Since that guitar lesson a while ago..." I said, trailing off. That was pretty awkward. I changed the subject.
"Well, you look gorgeous," I said, adding a laugh when she made a weird face. "Not so much anymore!"
"Hey!"
"Not while your making that face, honey boo boo."
"Can we just go? I wanna learn about Elvis, here!"
"Come on!" And we left, laughing the whole way there.
When we got there, I was very hesitant on what to order. Everything looked so good. It was probably just because I was really, really hungry. I hadn't eaten lunch or breakfast, so my stomach had been craving anything, everything to eat. I finally decided because that's how hungry I was, even if it wasn't what I wanted at all. While we waited for our food to come, we started studying the walls, which were filled to the top with pictures, posters, quotes, anything you can imagine of legendary hall-of-fame people. Like Elvis, who Cayley really loves. She says Elvis is the heart and soul of all music. I think it's the Beatles. Whoever it is, we both agreed, saying Elvis and the Beatles were great. Although I couldn't get Cayley to say that they were about the same on the ranking system. She just loves Elvis that much. Again with the quote-happy wife, happy life.
When our food came, I was really happy because I was both tired of listening to Cayley say Elvis was better than the Beatles, and I was super hungry. But she wouldn't even let the subject go while we were eating!
"What about Michael Jackson?" I said, not paying attention to any of the Elvis stuff.
"MJ is cool, too. He made lots of great music. I really enjoy listening to his music, too." She replied. Finally, I thought. No more Elvis talk. Thank the lord, hallelujah. I kind of laughed after I thought of that, and Cayley asked why I was laughing.
"Are you laughing at the way I eat a burger?" She asked. I shook my head, trying to keep the laugh going till she got it.
"No," -more laughing, fake or not-"it's not that." By this point, I couldn't stop laughing for real because Cayley trying to figure out what I was laughing at was even more funny than my thoughts. She started laughing, probably thinking the same thing I was:I can't help but laugh now. Finally, when we calmed down a bit, I actually ate-making me laugh made me more hungry, but I couldn't help it-and it was really good. I had actually never been to Hard Rock Café before, so it was pretty cool. Though, Cayley did shun me when she found that out. I think she should win a world record for the funniest person on earth. I'm serious! She is so funny.
