Chapter 1

                         _______________________________________________________________

The leaves of the cherry blossoms were falling on the grounds outside the citadel; Kogi had returned back from the front lines and were a little bashed up. Luckily enough the sword wasn't broken, though he wasn't amused that his fur was a little messed up.

Kogi had some cuts over his body from the battle, it was pretty rough, and the opponents were pretty tough. Kogi whined as he sat down by the river looking into the pond watching the Koi swimming around in the pond. Kogi attempted to groom himself, wincing at the feeling of the cuts on his arms.

"What are you looking at?" Kogi said with a whine as he watched as the carp swam up to greet him.

The most beautiful sword was at the citadel, as usual he wasn't fighting, and he rarely ever did. Only when he really had to of course. Mikazuki had awoken a little later than usual; he slept in his clothes so getting dressed wasn't an issue. Having made some tea, he glided along the tatami floor with his long robes following him, placing the tray down on the small table.

Kneeling down carefully as always, he poured some into a small cup, blowing on it before taking a sip with a sigh. Kogi wasn't back already? He frowned at the thought and wondered if he could look for him. Once he finished his cup of tea, Mikazuki ventured outside, his hands cupped together under his long sleeves as he walked through the flowing cherry blossom trees.

"Kogi~?" The blue haired male called out, scratching his cheek lightly with a small frown.

Kogi grumbled to himself as he continued to clean himself. He pulled his porcelain white hair over his shoulder and ran his fingers through it with a grunt.

Jeez, it was matted badly. He soon hissed when one of the carp in the pond spat water at him, shaking his head. "O-Oi...watch it now.." His hair was now a wet but he soon wiped his face.

Suddenly hearing someone call him, he looked over his shoulder to see the crescent beauty.

"Ah, Jiji, sorry for not informing you that I was back. I took it that you were sleeping. Got a little bashed on the front lines but I'm fine though." He said with a smirk.

The older sword couldn't help but worry, he didn't fight very much, so he didn't go through the same hardships as others did. Looking over the white haired male, he bit his bottom lip lightly. Mikazuki figured he could help by brushing out his fur for him, and even cleaning up his cuts and scratches

"I can take you to the healer, Kogi...Or ahaha, I could help~?" The blue haired sword asked, tilting his head to the side, his eyes closed with a smile on his face. At the others comment he smiled, he was right after all.

"It's true though, Kogi. I am a Jiji you know, I need my beauty sleep~" Mikazuki said quite proudly and turned to start walking back slowly, waving for the taller man to follow.

Kogi was very grateful of the tachi's help, his hair was pretty troublesome to groom on his own because it was so long. When Mikazuki said that he would brush it for him made him happy and took a whole load of stress off his shoulders. At the offer, he nodded his head, happy to go to the healer with the crescent beauty.

"Y'know, that sounds like a decent offer...I'll take you up on that." He announced, scratching behind his ears that were sitting on top of his head and flickered with excitement.

Kogi couldn't help but snigger at the other male's reaction to being called an old man, it was cute after all, and everything about the raven was very cute. "The oldest and the most beautiful right?"
