Unwanted

Chapter 6

I woke up the next morning realizing that today was the Ball. I was so excited and nervous.

I ran over to Ashley's room and decided to wake her up. I bumped into someone along the way.

"Oh sorry, Alex. I was going to go wake up Ashley," I apologized. Then I got a great idea. "Wanna come help?"

"Sure," he smirks and then I knew that we were both thinking the same time.

We went to the kitchen and filled up a jug with water. We tiptoed into Ashley's room. We stood at the side of her bed. I couldn't stop giggling and Alex kept telling me to be quiet.

"Okay, at the count of three, you pour the water on her," I whisper to Alex.

"One...,"I start slowly.

"Two...,"Alex says slowly.

"THREE...!" We shout at the same time. One second later, Alex pours the water all over Ashley. She jumps out of bed.

"WHAT THE HELL?!?" She screams at us. Alex and I are rolling on the ground holding our stomachs and dying of laughter.

"That was freakin' hilarious," Alex stands up and wipes tears from his eyes.

Ashely stomps into the bathroom and comes out with a fowl and starts drying herself.

"I love you guys so much," Ash says sarcastically.

"Love you, too," Alex and I say at the same time.

Ashely looks at the clock and notices it says 11:00 a.m. Her eyes go round at this.

"HOLY SHIT!" She screams.

"What?" I ask sounding a little worried.

"We have to get ready for the ball. It starts at 7:00. We only have 8 hours! That's so little," she starts rambling.

"8 hours?!?! All I need is 15 minutes," Alex says sounding confused as to why 8 hours is so little time.

"You're a boy, you wouldn't understand," I smirk at Alex.

• 7 hours later •

After what felt like forever, we finally got ourselves ready. I stepped out of my room to show Ashley and Alex the final results.

Alex's jaw dropped and Ashley was speechless.

"Holy cow! Crescent, you look gorgeous! I did a good job if I say so myself," Ashley beams.

"Wow! The werewolf King won't be able to take his eyes off of you," Alex winks at me.

I realize that Zack might be there. This was the night that I could make him regret rejecting me.

"Ashley you look amazing, too," I compliment Ashley. It was true she looking beautiful tonight. "So do you, Alex," he smiles in return.

I hope Alex finds his mate. She would be one lucky girl to have him by her side. I can tell Alex is nervous tonight as much as I am.

"Come on, the horse drawn carriage is waiting for us outside," Ashley says. I can tell that she was really excited.

For some odd reason, I knew that this night was going to change my life forever.

The carriage ride was really long and I couldn't wait to get up and stretch my legs. So when the carriage holt to a stop at the palace, I was the first one out. We had to go through some security. They had to check to make sure we had no weapons or silver on us.
