Friends Can Become Co-Workers

As I waited for London I kept pacing back and forth in my room. She said she was going to bring Grayson to, so I was as nervous as hell. But I have to tell him if it's true. I yelped as the doorbell rang, then followed with a sigh of relief to see London. But then I just started hyperventilating again when I saw Grayson. I just don't want to hurt his feelings.

"Hey chill.", said London as she walked.

All three of us sat on the couch. There was just this awkward beam of silence.

"Here's the picture.", London said as she passed me her phone.

"Wow. So it's true.", I sighed.

"Dang. Ro you know I'll fight him for you.", Grayson said.

"Um Gray. You might want to take a look at this.", I said as I showed him the picture on Linc and Audrey.

"What the hell? Is---is that Audrey? My Audrey?", Grayson said with his eyes popped out.

"Yeah that's Linc and Audrey at the concert.", I sadly had to say.

"What a dick.", said London.

"Yeah. But I bet he won't even have the balls to tell you he was lip locking with Audrey.", said Grayson.

"I don't even care anymore. Stitching is my number one priority right now. I'll deal with Linc and Audrey later.", I said. And just with that, my parents walked in.

"Oh hey London.", my dad said; pretending to not acknowledge Grayson.

"Hello to you too Mr. Goodkin.", Grayson said sarcastically.

"I have an announcement.", my mom said super surprisingly.

"Oh no. My mom is way to excited for this to be a good thing.", I said shaking my head.

"Well, I was thinking that maybe since London and Grayson know about stitching; if they would like to...I don't know....maybe....possibly.....slight chance..."

"Mom! Get to the point."

"How would you guys like to work the the Stitchers Program?"

"Wait really?", said London.

"Yeah. And Grayson. Didn't you get an A on your that brain activity you guys had to do?"

"Yeah. It was way rad.", he said.

"Well Cameron can show you how to travel Rosy through the map of the sample's brain.", said my mom.

"We're trying to build up a new team. Starting tomorrow I want you guys in the lab by 10:00 tomorrow so we can practice.", said my dad.

"Ooh! What can I do?", London said loudly.

"Didn't you like hack your mom's computer to see what you were getting for your 10th birthday and all the people she was inviting?", I asked.

"London. You did that when you were 9?" , my dad said raising his eyebrows.

"Maybe...I knew how to code since I was 7." , said London trying her best to be as quiet as she could because I don't think she wants her ass in trouble with her mom.

"Great. Linus will help you with that.", my mom said wiggling her shoulders.

"Wait, that's what Li does?", asked Grayson.

"Well he knows a lot of stuff about duplicating code or rearranging it.", my dad said tilting his head.

"Wait. So all I'm going to do is stitch. How do I do that?", I asked.

"Well, you don't have temporal dysplasia like your mom did. But when she didn't have it anymore I made her a new suit. And so I made you a suit just like your mom's 2.0 suit; which you will see in just a sec.", my dad said as he ran upstairs. He came back down with a slick black suit that looked super badass.

"Damn.", said Grayson admiring the suit.

"Language.", my mom said pointing her finger.

"Damn.", I said just out of complete awe.

"I know right.", my dad laughed not being aware of my foul language. I reached out to grab the suit, but he yanked it away.

"Uh, uh, uh. Wait until tomorrow.", my dad said shaking his head.

"Okay, fine.", I said rolling my eyes. I really wanted to try it on.

"Hey, me and your mom are going to go get some food. Do you guys want anything special?"

"Ooh can you get pineapple pepperoni pizza.", she said raising her eyebrows.

"Oh and some burritos.", Grayson clapped.

"You got it! How about you kiddo?", my dad asked.

"Um, nothing for me I'm good.", I said.

"Okay well, see you in a bit.", my mom said as she walked out. As I turned toward Gray and Lo, they just stared at me like I was roadkill or something.

"Um, hello?", I said snapping in their faces.

"Ro. You're never not hungry. Ever.", Grayson looking like his eyebrows were going to combine with his hairline.

"Yeah why aren't you going to eat?", London asked concerned.

"Well first of all I got cheated on the week of my anniversary and second I'm way too excited for tomorrow that the excitement is literally feeding me you guys.", I said standing up.

"Whatever you say Ro.", said London.

"Yeah, and I'm still sorry about what happened between you and Linc.", said Grayson with puppy dog eyes.

"Gray. Audrey also cheated on you. I'm sorry.", I said pointing to myself emphasizing on "I'm".

"I'll tell you what. We can both be sorry.", he smiled.

"Alrighty then."
