I smiled, looking down at the image I had just taken with my iPhone. It was a view of the magnificent twilight sky. I have always loved the sky since I was a child. My parents used to say that I had a special connection with it. My phone rang then and I took a look at the caller ID. It was my Mom.

"Hello?"

"Hey, sweetheart. When are you coming home?"

"I'm heading back soon. It's freezing in the park, Mom!"

"Do you have your jacket with you? Be careful not to catch a cold!"

"Yeah, I'm wearing it now. See you later, Mom."

"Love you, honey. Stay safe!"

"I will. Love you too."

I ended the call and took one last look at the scenery. The view was truly breathtaking. Feeling satisfied, I started strolling towards the park entrance. I took a short-cut through the playground and noticed that the sky was turning dark. The street lights in the park were being switched on automatically.

Taking that as my cue to head back home, I stood up and turned to my left. As I walked, I looked up at the night sky. The clouds were almost invisible now.

After walking for a few minutes, I took out my iPhone from my pocket and turned my head upwards to take a picture. It was at that moment that I saw a shooting star. Or at least that was what it looked like. Were my eyes playing tricks on me?

Tears filled my eyes as I admired the beautiful night sky. After making sure that the sky was clear once again, I continued walking to the park entrance. As I turned at a corner, I bumped into a wall or what I assumed it was. I heard a fleeting bell-like sound and wondered if I had imagined it.

Two strong hands grabbed my shoulders lightly to steady me. It was then that I realized that I had not ran into a wall, but a man. A very tall man to be exact.

Surprised, I didn't look up immediately. Instead, I concentrated on steadying my breathing. I could feel the man's gaze on me. Great. I bet he could even hear my loud heartbeat.

Gathering my courage, I looked up. The man standing in front of me was one of the most good-looking guys that I have ever laid eyes on. He looked like he was about my age. His eyes matched the color of his dark brown hair. Startled by the realization that I was staring, I looked down immediately, blushing.
