That sparkle in her eyes, which once made us blind
Is now a rare feature, which one cannot now find
Those rosy cheeks, the sun-kissed hair
Those moonlit eyes which were her flair,
Are now burdened with sorrows, they have faded down with time
Suppressed by the society, her soul was shoved in grime
Though she thought she was precious, but that was just in vain
T'was a colourful illusion which was ruined by the rain
Once a wife, once a daughter, a sister or a mum
Was she jack of all trades and master of none?
Seen as obscure in the market by some chauvinistic men
Her poor shattered soul was now stuck in a glenn
Completing them with perfection, her chores were always done
Be it office or her home her work for her was fun
But the comminuty ignored her untold sacrifices
That withered little flower was a victim of the vices
Termed as the weaker gender, her talents were now shunned
Once found outside her box people by her were stunned
She was forced to go inside in her so called happy cage
Where she was suppose to flutter and not display her rage
Thus once a beautiful flower which was unique in human race
Is now just a wilted root with a mask on her face
But that tiny ray of hope is still alive in her heart
And she firmly believes that God will let her play her part.
