William at Hogwarts

Chapter 5

I woke up feeling the bliss of a great bed. Looking around surprised I realized everyone else was still well asleep and then I looked at the magic watch of the kid next to me. It was four o'clock in the morning nag dammit!!! I felt like I had had such a big sleep as well.

Instead of going back to sleep I decided to go down to the common room. As I entered I found one of the professors walking a round the room placing all types of plants around the place.

"Err... morning" I said softly

"Oh, morning your up early"

"Yes I couldn't get back to sleep" I replied "what are you doing?"

"Oh your a first year" she laughed "ok well every week I pick a few plants a place them around here for you students to study and learn about. I give a lesson on the most popular plant of the week on Saturday afternoon and at the end of the year I do a competition in the room of requirements which will involve all the plants I've put out."

"Oh ok can first years compete' I asked

"Yes, but they don't do well most of the time"

I looked around at all the plants, there was so many but the one that took my most interest was a small cactus like bush that was surrounded in a shield charm because it shot out thorn as soon as someone came near to it!

I talked to prof spout for a while longer until everyone else began to appear from the dormitories. I waited for James and then made my way towards the hall of greatness for breakfast.

Breakfast was fantastic they had oats weetbix and milk on the table as if the food knew I liked it. We got out timetables I had most of my classes with James which was nice. we had potions with the claws and defense against the dark arts with the slugs and squirrel. Transfiguration didn't say who we were with and herbolagy we had with some of the griffins and claws.

First up DADA (defense against the dark arts) with squirrel. buhahahahaha this should be fun.

"Will, get up! the class is in five minutes" James yelled

"Oh poop lets go" I got up an then fell over James foot and ended up on the floor. James helped me up and we ran out the great hall.

I though James knew where he was going but he though I knew where we were going so we ended up totally lost in front of a door.

"Hey Will think this is that third floor corridor we're not meant to go in!'

"Errr was there a corridor we weren't meant to go?"

"Yeah if you weren't bloody zoned out when Dumbledore was doing his speech you might have known where not to go!"

"Lets get away from here" I whispered and we legged it in the opposite direction of each other.

I beat James to DADA by about thirty seconds but we were both very late.

As I ran in Squirrel death stared me. I found a spot next to a random griffin. squirrel stuttered his way through the lesson jabbering on about a spell that creates light, I read the text book and found we were meant to say lumos while thinking of something bright eg the sun.

I ended up making my desk grow because I was bored and and the legs of desk ended up looking like tree trunks. I tried to make it move by pointing at it with my wand and whispering "moveafie"

Thunk!!!! Ow

My desk turned into a trunk and landed heavily on my foot.

"Mr Tonks if you could please refrain from p-playing with your desk and listen to me I w-would be very appreciative." squirrel said menacingly which didn't really work because of the stutter.
