Chapter 6: Friends

Zach's POV

I awoken by the sunlight hitting my eyelids, as I stood up I saw the Neko or I should say Joel missing, I jolted up. "Looking for me?" a voice said above me it was....."Joel" I hissed at him as he frowns at me, "Why are you really here? " I asked, "The boss sent me here like I said yesterday but change of plans. I had to go to emerald city to get something" Joel say jumping off the tree, "Okay after Emerald city, you will leave Me and Scarlet alone" I say as I sat down.

Scarlet was finally awake it was 8:00 am, "I'll make some sandwiches" Scarlet said as she took out some bread and berries, the sandwiches was done and she gave them to us. "how does it taste?" Scarlet asked suddenly, "Good acutely" I say as I eat my last sandwich while Joel is almost done with his second, "The berries are yummy" Joel said as he took a bite of his last sandwich. "Let's go! " Scarlet said as we finished packing up, "Okay let me help you with that Scarlet" Joel said as he took one of Scarlet's bag. I just made a "tsk" sound, "So... Scarlet after emerald city we're are we going next? " I asked Scarlet, "we'll figure out..." Scarlet said as she looks at the dark sky, "Its gonna snow" Joel said, "No shit captain obvious" I say to the neko who sticks his tongue out. "Stop it you two!" Scarlet said, "be professional" Scarlet said trying to act mature. "Okay" Me and Joel said at the same time.

Then it started to snow, "Beautiful isn't it?" Scarlet asked, "what is?" I asked confused, "Its beautiful that the snow can be beautiful and yet deadly at the same time" Scarlet said as her voice softened, "It is" Joel said as had a few snow in his hands.

it was snowing, all the sakura tree's was covered with snow, "Hurry Zach! " A voice called, "Coming Kaitlin!" I shout as I ran outside. We played near the Sakura tree, "Zach look how beautiful the sakura tree's are at winter!" Kaitlin said as she stands next to one, "but winter is also deadly" I say as I sat next to her. "yeah it can be" Kaitlin said.

I woke up it was morning I wanted to go to Kaitlin's as soon as possible but.... "I heard they left" My mom said to my dad,
"uh-huh, but poor Kaitlin she has to go with so many things" I didn't bother to listen to the rest I ran to Kaitlin's house to see her and her family not there. "Kaitlin I know you're there come out!" I shouted but no response, "Please Kaitlin come out and play! Please? " I shouted but no one came out.

It's true she left..... She left me alone..... I don't wanna be alone....

We we're near Emerald city, I can finally get rid of Joel! "Scarlet how long till we get to Emerald city? " I asked with enthusiasm, "about 30 minutes" Scarlet answered as Joel pouts, "I wanna travel with you guys longer tho" Joel said as he keeps pouting, "Well you can't cause you have your business and we have ours" I said as I glared at him, "Joel can stay but he tried to stalk us so we can't trust him yet" Scarlet said as she takes out a water bottle and drinks from it, "But you trust Zachary " Joel said looking at me with a grin, shit Scarlet doesn't know my real name but now she does and it came from Joel, "Zachary?" Scarlet asked, "yeah Zachary as in Zach" Joel said as he pointed at me, "Wait don't tell me he never told you his real name?!" Joel said pretending to be surprised, I should have never let him travel with us.

Scarlet glared at me, "Why didn't you tell me?" Scarlet asked anger coming out from her voice, "I can explain-" I said but Scarlet cutted me off, "Then explain!" Scarlet shouts as she keeps walker but faster... "I had to keep my real name hidden" I said to Scarlet but she didn't face me, "Keep it hidden from who?" Scarlet asked her voice turning darker, "From me? A wanted assassin who can kill you?" Scarlet asked once more facing me. Her eyes was darker then ever, "I did it cause..... " I said as Scarlet's eyes went less darker, "cause what?" Scarlet asked, "Because I hate my name" I say as I glared at Joel who gave a smirk in return.
