I decided his name is Tate. It literally means "He talks too much" so I just thought it was perfect.
Also he's actually mixed (more Native American though). His native side descends from a vv aggressive band of Comanches, who killed many white men (and the other side comes from cowboys who fought Comanches whooPS). He values his culture a lot, thought doesn't tend to show it all that much.
