*Emily's POV*

The next day when I got to school all that echoed in my head was 'build up your reputation' when I was in class. I smacked my pencil against my forehead while looking outside.

How should I build it...? He said by opening door and simple stuff like that but... Isn't there anything better? I wondered to myself.

"Emily."

Maybe I should go around and compliment everyone.

"Pst... Emily."

No that's cheesy.

"Emily." Enya continued to whisper to me but I didn't hear. I continued to zone out.

I felt someone pull on my hair from behind me. "Ouch!" I yelled and the class looked at me. I turn around and see Enya. "Don't be so loud..." He mutters.
"What do you want?"
"Stop zoning out. Your trying to build reputation. Dozing off in class isn't a way to do that."
"Ah jeez... Fiiiinnneee."
"And watch that attitude."
"Sorry mom."

I heard the teacher clear her throat and I turn around. "Emily. Care to share with the class the conversation that was so important, it couldn't wait until break?"
"Gladly." I said and stood up. I looked at Enya that had a straight face out on but I had a smile. I turned back around and faced the teacher. All eyes were on me.

"Enya was just telling me about how he has a bladder infection." I said loud without hesitation. The whole class laughed but Enya just looked up at me. His eyes told me 'oh my god! What is wrong with you!? What did I ever do to you!?' I just sat back down grinning ear to ear.

Class ended on a good note. When I got out of class lots of boys gave me a thumbs up and a 'good job'. Enya walked over to me. "that was harsh of you... I can't believe you would do that to me." Enya sighed.
"Guess you have to rebuild up your reputation, huh?" I laughed.

Enya looked around then smiled. "Actually, that remark you made in class made some guys notice you. Keep it up. You need to keep getting them to notice you."
"It's not as easy as it seems."
"This is what it takes to be popular. Get use to it."
"Yeah yeah... Whatever. Stupid popularity takes work and time blah blah blah..."
"With that attitude you won't get popular very fast."

I roll my eyes and walk away. I was on my way outside when I overheard a conversation. "Are you serious?" I stopped and continued to listen in.

"Yeah I really have no idea where it is... Man I'm going to be dead if I don't find it."
"Okay well what does the watch look like?"
"a rusty looking bronze brim and inside the watch is a dark silver."
"Okay well where do you remember having it last?"
"Uh... I'm not sure... I think it was outside on the field while I was playing football."
"That can't be good."

I build up my courage and walk over to them. "Um excuse me?" I said stopping behind the two boys. They turned around and looked at my confused.

"I couldn't help but over-hear your conversation. If you need some help finding your watch, I'm available." I explained and one of the boys sighed with relief. "That would be a great help if you don't mind."
"Not at all! Let's go check the field." I said and we headed outside.

The boys got either side of the field and I checked the middle. I got on my hands and knees keeping a lookout on where I was putting my hands and legs. I found something shine about 2 feet in front of me. I crawled over and picked it up. It was the watch in perfect condition. I held it up and yelled "found it!" The boys ran over happily and thanked me.

One of the boys slipped on the watch and smiled at me. "Thank you so much! This is an old antique that my mom let me use today. I don't know what I would have done if You hadn't of helped us find it... Um..."
"It Emily and don't mention it! Just be more careful next time, yeah?" I said and he nodded. I waved off and went back into the school. I heard a voice behind me as I was at my locker.

"Good job getting on your hands and knees for those guys." The voice startled me and I turned around smacking my back into my locker. Enya stood there looking amused. "Why do you have to watch me all the damn time you weirdo!?"
"To make sure you don't screw something up."
"Stalker."
"Hey!"
"Did you leave your binoculars at home?"
"I don't insult you! Why are you so cruel?"
"That's just who I am."

Enya sighs. "Whatever... Anyways those boys will probably tell their friends about you. So that should be all for building up the reputation for now. But keep in mind that we do need to come back to this."
"Okay."
"Let's talk more after school at the park." He said turning on his heal and he left.

I built up my reputation in one day?

All I've done was be myself.

Am I really going to change much at all?
