Thirty Eight

*Few months later*

"Shit Scar." Kay bit her lip as she looks at her good friend from work. "I'm freaking out right now." She shook her head as she looks down at the pregnancy test that was in her hand, it was still in the box but she was about to take it so she was quite nervous.

"Just go take it and then we'll figure things out when you know for sure." Scarlett smiles as Kay stands up and goes to the bathroom, coming out minutes later, the stick on some paper towels.

Kay just looked down at it, the 5 minute wait seeming like two hours. "It's positive." She whispers, a slight smile on her face. She had tons of questions running through her mind. 'How will Liam react?' 'What if Liam leaves me?' She shook her head, trying not to think of that right now. 

Scarlett smiles and gives her a side hug, sighing softly. "How are you going to tell him?" She asks, looking down at the positive pregnancy test.

"I think I'm just going to come straight out with it. We have talked about starting a family in the future, so he shouldn't react badly." Kay nods, standing up from her spot on Scarlett's couch. "I'll call you later or tomorrow and tell you how it went."

Giving her best friend a hug Kay then left, heading straight for home, the pregnancy test wrapped in paper towels inside her purse.

"Liam?" She called as she walked into the house she shared with her fiance. Fiance, she still couldn't get over the fact that they were engaged to be married. 

"Yeah babe?" He calls, walking out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. "What's wrong? You look like you saw a ghost." He chuckles, walking closer to her and pecking her cheek gently.

Kay shook her head, reaching into her purse. "So I found something out today." She whispers, handing him the towel wrapped pregnancy test. "And I'm scared that you'll leave me but I know you won't. I don't know." She mutters.

"What are you going on about?" He furrows his eyebrows, unwrapping the stick that had a positive mark on it. "We're having a baby?!" He exclaims, a big smile spreading across his face. "This is great news baby." He says, wrapping his arms around his fiance, giving her a tight hug. "I love you." He whispers.

"I love you too." Kay smiles widely, closing her eyes and resting her head on his shoulder.
