»Chapter 5«

{ Liu's P.O.V. }

Melanie sure does have it hard. I just want to ask her if she needs to just cry. I want just hug her and tell her that I'll protect her but, I feel like that would be too sudden for her. She just needs to relax.

To bad she won't be able to once she meets them. She is sure to freak out. I hope she doesn't think I'm insane once she finds out what I really am. Or hate me when she meets Sully.

{Melanie's P.O.V.}(Normal)

We begin to walk into a path into the forest Liu wanted to take me. I'm still wondering on why and where he wants to take me. All I do as we walk is stare at the back of Liu. He's not very strong in stature, but he for some reason looks strong in a way. I then remember the scars on his face, scars from something. I don't want to say anything about it though.

I feel like I need to cry about everything right now. I just need to cry. Everything is too much, too sudden. I feel like I'll shatter with just a touch. I'm too fragile for my liking.

"Hey we're almost there. Do you mind waiting here for a few?" Liu says as he stops and turns towards me. I'm lost in my thoughts so it takes me a second to notice that he said something. "Sure..." I say and sit against a tree. "Okay thanks." He says and jogs away. He's acting strange, I wonder why. I just sit there against the tree and think. I think about everything.

It's all too much for me. My face begins to turn red, I start to sniffle, and now I begin to cry. Everything is too much for me. I've shattered, I'm broken, I need to be stitched back together. I need help, I need someone to heal me. H e l p me I' m f a l l i n g a p a r t . . .

I begin to hear footsteps coming towards me. A group I'm guessing one of them in Liu. The footsteps are coming from the direction he left. I still cry and try to stop but, me trying to stop makes it worse. I'm a wreck.

"Melanie I'm back it's Liu..," I hear " OHH SHIT MELANIE WHATS WRONG?" I cry and I hear Liu running towards me. An arm touches my shoulder and I begin to relax. "Liu what's going on?" "Hey is that the girl you were telling us about?" "Why is she crying?" I hear a group of male voices say. Their footsteps quicken towards me. I wipe my face trying to clear up my face. I throw on my hood again and straighten up. "What happened Melanie?" I hear Liu say to me. "Yeah I'll be okay for now." I say even though I know that it's a complete lie. He, no one they, know it's a lie.

I stand up and look at them. I quickly shoot my eyes away. I look at the ground so I don't have to look at their faces. Some look sort of normal and the others just don't. "Oh you didn't tell her about us did you Liu?" Says one voice. "No I...I didn't. She already has too much going on and she needs help. We may be the only people that can help her." Says Liu in responce. "I'm Melanie." I say, feeling like I need to hear them say my name so that I don't feel belittled. "Hi Melanie" all the other guys of the group say. I smile thinking that they are listening to me and...respecting me. I look at them and examine their faces. They look different I guess you could say. I can't see them that well since its night now. Damn we walked a lot. I glance at Liu and see he looks nervous or worried. "You must be hungry." Liu says. "Lets take her over to the mansion." Says a guy in a red stained, white jacket. "Mmmm okay I guess we should. It'll be fun Liu come on." Says an eager voice coming from a guy in a dark green outfit. He looks like he could be a sort of cosplayer from a game but I can't see what exactly.

We begin to walk to the mansion they said they live in. They told me it was old and that they'll need to chat 'privately' before I go in for some reason. I guess I'll just have to listen to them for now.
