Chapter 6; i'm leaving on an airplane don't know when i'll be back again
Cara's POV
He bought this house after college promising me that this is where we were going to build our family together. I smiled at the memory I guess, promises are meant to be broken.
After packing all my stuff, including all our pictures together that I placed on the walls of our living room and on top of our bedside table, my toiletries. One look at the house it looks as if only one person lives in the house, well from now only one would live but not for long.
I looked at our bedroom and turned off the lights, my stuff might be gone from this home but the memories we shared together I will always remember and treasure. I know I won't regret this, I think. But it's time for me to be selfless, maybe there was never an us? maybe he was just Nate my bestfriend.
He found his princess, and now I think it's time for me to find my prince. who'll love me as much as I love him. Who I'll build my future with, my family with and my forever with.
I locked the front door and called a taxi after 10 minutes the taxi arrived and the driver helped me put my stuff inside. I didn't bother using my car because I want to start fresh and because I'm leaving the country and head to London and hope for the best. But, I didn't leave without an explanation. I left a note and gift inside a small box on his side of the bed explaining why I'm leaving.
We finally arrived at the airport and the taxi driver once again helped me with my luggages, I paid him the amount and gave him a generous tip. He thanked me and said "God bless, I hope you'll have a good day. Thank you once again, Maam." I smiled at him and I headed at the entrance. I checked in and boarded the plane.
I hope, I'm doing the right thing.
