"Sorry, look..Just eat it, please?" His voice was calm, but his eyes looked like he would cry if I didn't start eating. So, I picked up the fork and took a bite. "Thank you." He sounded so relieved.
We went back to watching the show, and I ate about half the food on his plate before feeling like I was going to explode if I took even one more bite. "I-is this good enough?" He looked over at me, clearly confused.
"What?"
"The f-food."
"Oh," he looked down at the plate. "yeah, thats fine I guess."
"S-sorry, m'just too full to eat any more."
"Its okay, better than nothing." he smiled at me, then got up and grabbed both of the plates and walked out of his room. I felt weird just sitting on his bed alone, and it was getting late anyway so I decided to follow him downstairs. The house was huge, I probably would have gotten lost if I were by myself.
When we walked into the kitchen his mum was doing dishes. She turned when she heard us come in. "Hello boys!" She smiled, taking the plates from Louis. "Which ones yours?" She asked in a slightly hushed tone, looking over at Louis.
"That one." He pointed to my plate, the one that was completely empty.
A huge smile overtook her face. "Lovely." She went back to doing dishes, and Louis and I left the kitchen.
"I-I should g-go." I told him as he began to go back up stairs.
"Why?" He turned to me.
"I just, i-its getting late."
"You could just stay the night if you wanted."
"R-really?"
"Yeah, I mean, if my mum doesn't mind."
"O-okay."
"Do you need to call your mum and ask?"
"N-no she won't notic- I m-mean she won't care."
"Okay, I'll go ask mine then."
