To associate partners with Allah is known to be as Shirk.To give importance to other deities over Allah is considered to be as shirk as to worship stone idols or asking the blessings or offering prayers to the dead,believing that they hold same qualities as Allah is also considered to be as shirk.The Shirk is considered to be a sin that isn't unpardonable and the Quran says:
"Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him;but He forgives anything else to whom He pleases;to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed." [4:48]
Allah is One,the Supreme Being,The Master of The Day of Judgment and The Master of the Worlds,The Only Worthy of Worship,so how come people associate partners with him or give importance to other than Allah.If Allah agrees all the sins will be forgiven By Him but Shirk is the biggest of all Sins and won't be forgiven.
Even the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is reported to have said,
"Shirk is the greatest of all sins."
