I can't believe this school year is almost over, it just flew by. My name is Collie Day, I'm 15 and I'm in ninth grade, well... I'm going to be in tenth grade when Summer's over.
I go to my locker and get my bag and all my stuff. I walk home... Once again, alone. No one usually notices me, because I'm to shy to say/do anything. But... There is one person who was my friend this year... Her name is, Alex. She's very confident and is very sporty, unlike me. We are probably the most unlikely friends ever. But... She's to only one who would talk to me. I get like, side hellos in the halls, but rarely ever.
When I get home, my little brother. Aiden, runs and hugs me at my legs. "Collie!! You're home!" He says in his little voice. I hug him and ruffle his hair, and go to my room. "Collie! I need your help please!" My dad says from his office. "Coming dad!" I say as I get up.
"Thanks, Coll."
"No problem dad. What do you need help with?"
"I need you to babysit my friends son. He's coming over tomorrow for a play date with Aiden."
"Um.. Okay."
"Thanks Coll"
"No problem dad."
I walk back to my room to do my homework, and get a text from Alex. "Hey Coll, you busy?" She says in her text. "No, why?" I text back.
"I'm bored. Wanna come over?"
"Let me ask my dad, brb"
"Okay"
"Dad..? Can I go over to Alex's?"
"Sure, just be back by 9"
"Okay. Thanks dad, love you"
"Love you too, Coll"
I walk over to Alex's, and see a little kitten on the sidewalk. She looks so cold and tired.
"Aw.. Come here girl.." I say crouching. She walks toward me slowly. "That's it, come on." She finally makes it over to me and sits on my lap. "Are you lost..?" I pet her then she meows and runs away. I think I accidentally pet her where she doesn't like.
I hope she'll be fine on her own...
