"Mom I’m heading out now" mom was in the back painting the fields when she looked back.
"Okay honey, not to late though" she was so at peace here
"Alright I’ll do my best" she turned back to her painting as I walked out the front door to Jessie’s truck when I got in, he didn’t waste any time.
"So yaw like Daniella eh" I looked over at him as I buckled.
"Where you hear that from?" we continued talking while we roared out of the drive.
"Karla told me, apparently you froze" he was laughing as I rolled my eyes.
"yea yea I was surprised to see another girl in the house that’s all" now on a long stretch of dirt road he glanced over at me.
"so surprised you wouldn’t let go of her hand" Jessie started laughing even harder, I on the other hand was trying to get out of this but decided to admit it.
"Okay fine maybe I do like her a little" my voice was quiet but Jessie heard me and punched my arm.
"Atta boy Chance!" then he undid his window, cranked up the radio and yelled.
"She’s a nice girl I think you guys would be cute!" he was very glad about getting me to confess. We pulled into a paved drive way about four or five minutes from my house, Jessie turned down the radio and unlocked the truck we got out and a short stocky boy came over to greet us when we got to the front gate.
"Hey Jessie! how’s it going man" Jessie nodded as the short boy looked over at me.
"You must be Chance, I’m Aaron" he was smiling and amused.
"Yea that’s me" Aaron looked amused as we shook hands. Jessie came over to us and got Aarons attention.
"Everyone out back?"
"Yea the rents went to town to grab some food for the fire" Aaron seemed pleased with himself as Jessie nodded his head.
"Alright" Jessie turned to me.
"We gonna go out back with the others Chance?" I nodded my head in agreement.
"Yea lets go" Aaron went into the house as Jessie started to chuckle.
"Yaw sure, I mean Daniellas back there what if she shakes your hand" we both burst into uncontrollable laughing as Jessie nudged my arm with his elbow; I looked towards the back of the blue farm house.
"Think I can manage now thanks" hoping I was right we headed to the back, when we walked out back we were greeted by Karla who waved us over to where they were sitting.
"Hey guys!, over here!"
As we walked over to the tailgate I noticed Daniella. Her floral top made her eyes stand out from the rest of her features, her hair was pulled into a low pony tail, her blue geans were fitted nicely to her hips and she had cowboy boots on. When we reached the two girls they made space for us to sit next to them. Jessie sat next to Karla as I squeezed next to Daniella the other two were already talking but i tuned them out as Daniella looked at me.
"Hey Chance glad you could make it" her eyes flickered to her boots then back to me. I nodded my head.
"Hey, yea I was looking forward to comin with you guys" a smile crossed her lightly tanned face.
"Well we needed some new faces around here" I smiled and glanced over at Jessie who was now watching then looked out to the wide space around us, just then Jessie leaned over.
"Karla an I are goin out for a walk, we'll meet up with yaw guys later for the fire" looking over to Jessie I waved as he put a huge smirk on his face as he walked towards the trees giving me two thumbs up. I shook my head as I looked to Daniella who was talking again.
