Awakening

"I did it... Yes! I DID IT!!"
Was what i heard as i woke up for the first time in my life.

"Its alive! She is alive! SHE IS ALIVE!!"
The voice came from someone, wearing a long white coat, with a little trinkets on his neck, and a glasses hanged in front of his eyes.

It was a man. I don't know him, but i know what he is. Though i don't know how i know, but i know.
He is a human. And i'm afraid, i'm not.

"Don't worry, you're still human."

I raised my eyebrow as i almost thought that he was reading my mind.

"And i'm not a mindreading mad scientist. I'm just your usual genius mad scientist."

Eh?

"Ok, sorry not to tell, but you're actually saying what you have in mind, loudly."

"Since i was awake?"

"Yeah, i'm quite impressed at your narrative, i would like to read your book if you write one."

Damn.

I bring my hand to cover this pathetic face of mine that i bet is currently blushing.

"Actually you're still saying it out loud, and you'll stay doing so for the few coming hours."

The heck?

"It's the side-effect, maybe, i don't really know, this is the first time i revived someone."

"Revived?"

"Yeah, you're not a newly created living being, you're just revived."

Hearing that, i tried to remember.
But, hey, who am I? I don't even remember myself. Nor my family, and colleagues.

"Welp, maybe some part of your brain got fried and something like amnesia occurred, lol."

I was quite surprised to hear that. Indeed, I'm surprised that i have a memory loss, but i'm more surprised at how vague his explanation was. And not to mention, that abbreviation which if i remember correctly is not something you say in life outside the internet.

"Hey, let me be, it's not easy to be a mad scientist."

How foolish i am to have forgotten my condition.

"But i think i like this part of you."

Huh? What did he say?

"I think i like you."

Huuuhh!?

"Yup, i have decided, from now on, you are my assistant."

Oh, my, that was quite misleading.

"Oooo, you were hoping for something else?"

Scram.

"Yikes, okay, i will, after i'm done with the next setups."

And so... he pushed some buttons. Pulled some lever. Plugged some battery-like tube with green glowing fluid onto a machine beside me.

I can see that said machine was connected to something that is currently connected to what is inside my head.

"It's not some radioactive suspicious liquid. It's just some green vegetarian juice, and it glows because there is a some kind of light bulb warming them in the battery-like tube."

Glad to hear that, really.

"Don't worry, you're the only illegal matter here."

Eh?

"I'm sure at the very least, you do know of human and science ethics."

Oh, my.

"It's okay, nobody know that you died, so it should be okay."

How could that be okay.

"So, you still have your identity registered by the government, you'll have no registration problems."

I see.

"And look at this! When you died, your wallet was safe, and so did your proof of citizenship."

"Give it to me."
I said as i tried to reach him, before realizing how i was encased by smooth transparent glasses.

"Sorry, for medical purpose, you'll have to stay there for the next twelve hour."

Dang.

"And also, i think you may be reported to be missing, which could be probed to someone finding out that somebody broke the science moral code."

I see that i have the upper hand, now.

"Actually, no, you still can't live without me, and some of my inventions for more than 24-hours."

So, if i report, i'll die.

"Glad you know, and i hope you comply."

I will, for now.

*chuckle* "I like you. But i'm too sleepy to conduct anymore act, thus i'll sleep in the next room."

What time is it?

"Two in the morning, and i was awake for more than 24 hours, bye-bye, later."

And so, he left.

Me, here, unable to move, a little bit uncomfortable, with nothing to do.
Darn, at least let me watch a TV or something.
