Claire Hey. My name is Claire Montella. I am an orphan, I have only two friends, Beth and Zara. I have been here for 15 years. My mom and dad completely abandoned me and left me on the doorstep of this place. I really don't like it here and I feel like an outsider because, well, my home is an orphanage.
"Claire wake up! School starts in 30 minutes!" The caretaker, Jen yells from downstairs.
Shiz.
I run downstairs and I grab some cereal. I quickly eat it and dash back upstairs to brush my teeth and get in the shower. I leave my hair in its natural waves and go back into my room to pick out an outfit.

I grab my lilac backpack and walk downstairs to head out the door.
I walk over to Beth's house and knock on the door.
"Hey Beth, can I have a ride?" I ask putting my phone back in my bag. She gives me a weird look.
"Yes you can have a ride, but you realize school doesn't start in another hour?" Beth says giggling.
"But Jen- JEN! She is always nagging me to get up earlier, ugh." I say facepalming.
"Well you can come in," Beth says opening the door more.
I walk in and I see her mom on the couch watching TV.
"Hi Ms. Laker!" I smile waving at her.
"Hello Claire, I need an opinion on these new cookies I made, would you like a taste?" She says getting up and going to the kitchen.

"Have a good day at school girls!" Ms. Laker says waving goodbye.
We arrive at school. I am greeted by my usual:
"Hey Orphan!" Jessica says smirking.
"Well at least I'm not a spoiled rich girl," I say rolling my eyes.
After that everything stops.
Complete silence.
"What the hell Claire?" Beth whispers.
I hear Jessica's heels clicking on the ground as she walks toward me.
"Listen, Jessica, unlike everyone else, I'm not scared of you. I'm tired of your little innocent hair twirl act. I'm tired of you walking all over me. One day I will get an awesome mother and father who love me even if I'm not their biological child." I say sternly with tears in my eyes.
"Yeah, when pigs fly, you act like Zoella would adopt you, she doesn't like losers like you." She says smirking.
"Thats where you're wrong. Have you ever met Zoe? She likes people for who they are, not for who you pretend to be," I say walking away.
"Bye daddy's girl," I whisper in her ear smirking.
I have the whole school staring at me, and Beth runs up behind me.
"Claire, that was amazing!" She squeals.
"I know," I say jokingly.
