I woke up feeling really dizzy and nauseous. I noticed that I was lying down in an unknown room, in a white bed decorated with multi-coloured outlines of flowers printed at the bottom. I went to sit up, but a searing pain went through my head. I placed my hand on my head and leaned back down onto the soft pillows.
“Hey easy there,” a voice said coming from the left of me, “just lie down and stay still.”
I slowly tilted my head to the left and noticed that there was a guy sitting down in a chair beside the bed. I guess that the chair was from the table that sat in the corner of the room. Who was he?
“Who are you?” I croaked, barely letting the flow of words come out.
“Pardon? What was that?”
“Who are you?” I managed to say it louder than before, just loud enough so that he was able to hear it.
“You don’t remember?” He sounded a little surprised, “oh wait, you were drunk.”
“I was drunk?” To be honest I couldn’t remember absolutely anything that happened at James’ party last night. Wait, that reminded me, “Where am I?”
“Well firstly, you were drunk,” he said, “secondly, you are at my house.”
“And thirdly?” I asked, curious to know what happened at James’ party.
“Thirdly,” he said giving a little pause to emphasise his point, “you kissed me.”
I couldn’t say a thing. I moved my law up and down, but no words were able to come out. in short words you could just say that I was star-struck.
“What?!” I exclaimed wincing as the pounding in my head came back, “no man, I’m not gay!”
“Are you sure about that?” said the guy, “that’s not what you said last night.” What did I say last night? I don’t recall anything. Gah! If only I could remember what happened…
“Oh how rude of me,” he said, “let me reintroduce myself. I’m Daniel.”
Daniel. Where had I heard that name before? Then it hit me. I started to remember everything that happened, the drinking, the laughter and the kiss. The kiss was the most controversial thing I had ever done, because it was this guy that I kissed. Oh no, what will happen when James finds out?
I started to get up slowly and swung my feet over the edge of the bed. I felt the sudden dizziness come back, so I planted my feet firmly on the ground. That helped me a little, but it didn’t overwhelm the dizziness steering its way throughout my head.
“Hey,” Daniel said getting up and walking around the bed, “slow down, you’ve still got a hangover.”
“Fuck off faggot,” I growled, “I don’t have to listen to faggots like you.” Daniel seemed shocked at my sudden outburst of words. He stood there just in front of me, with eyes that looked like they were about to shed waterfalls of tears, plummeting towards the ground.
