Cruz

I woke up  with a horrible taste in my mouth, I tried running to the bathroom but vomited on the floor before I made it to the toilet, at least the bathroom floor was hardfloor, the bad part, I'm on a boat. Hopefully the vile doesn't spread across the floor from the motions of the boat. I grabbed paper towel and cleaned up the puke. Then grabbed my toothbrush and tooth paste, and brushed before I left the room. I get out, go upstairs, and all I can see is s bright light. When my eyes adjusted to the sun, I saw Kate on top of a diving board. I thought of how symmetric she looks, light blue eyes, brown hair, a little round nose, I couldn't stop thinking about how much I wish we could go on a date, at least one perfect evening, me and Kate where amazing friends. I just wish i knew how to ask her, the right time, right words, right mood, right everything, the perfect moment, were on a Cruz, how would that be hard? I know, I'm more serious about a relationship, she wants someone easygoing, funny, and popular, I'm not any of those things, well I am easy going most the time, it's just I act more mature than her other friends. I wish i could find the words, but my step-dad used to say "dream in one hand, crap in the other, see what ones fills up faster" it's a weird meta fore but, it's true.I walked up to Kate when she got out of the pool, I asked her "how do you wake up so early, and get in the pool?" She smirked, "easy, be  energetic, I'm always full of energy!" I let out a little laugh, "yeah because all those energy drinks" I was messing around, if she actually was drinking them but she replied "I'm trying to quit"
"I'm going to go get my swimming trunks on, I'll be back Kate"
"Ok, I'll be waiting"
I walked down the hall, looked for room 117, found it, then went in and put on my red swimming trunks, grabbed my towel, and put on sun screen. Now I'm ready to go back up. I walked through all the halls, up the stairs, and arrived back at the pool. All I can smell is a strong scent of chlorine. Kate walked up to me and smiled.
"What do you wanna do?"
"I don't know, maybe actually swim?"
"Oh wow, thanks captain obvious."
"Hey umm, Kate?"
"Yeah?"
"do you want to go out on a date this Friday?"
"Umm, I have a date on Friday... Sorry."
"Oh, cool! With who?"
"Leon, we're going to the jungle caffe, in Hawaii."
"Wow. That's exactly where I was going to take you, if we did go, but sorry for making this akard." I walked back to the room, Kate was following me, "Kiro, what are you doing? You can still stay out in the pool"
"No, I forgot I had to meet Tom at the front of the boat."
"Toms in the pool."
I unlocked the room and walked in, she held her arm in the crack of the door, "you're not going in there, we're here for a reason, we came here to have fun, and you're ditching us."
"Who cares? You guys hate me anyway, I know you do, and you can't say you do like me, I've been trying to make friends of you guys all my life, and you see where it got me? I'm trapped on a boat"
"You have us, we have you're back, why would you say anything like that?"
"Because, I'm trapped"
I pushed her arm away, I got in the room, shut, and locked the door, I don't know why but the click of the lock made me worrie, did I really just close the door on my crush?, whatever, I didn't have a chance anyway, why try to impress someone who hates me? I don't know anymore why. Well, if I knew anything, I liked Lexi but, she was best friends with Kate. did come with us, but she brought her friend izzy, Kira came with us, the girls share a room, then I share a room with Tom, Leone, and Bucky. At least their in the pool, distracted.
"Kiro, I'm going to get Leone's key, if you haven't unlocked the door, or came out, there I'll burn all you're stupid Pokemon cards."
"Fine, I'll be waiting"
I looked to my binder with my cards in it, grabbed it, snuck out the door and ran to the back of the boat. I looked to a guy sitting near the back left corner, he had an easel and a canvas, I looked at his art work, it had red at the bottom that grew into a pink at the top, he had some weird characters on the painting too. I looked around, only that one person was on the back of the boat. I looked to the front of the ship, there was a beach, we went to the front of the boat, they had the boat lined up with a dock I ran off before anyone else left, the sand was so hot and soft, not as grainy as I thought it would be, I thought it was Hawaii, but it didn't seem like it. There was a hotel on the island, I checked in, and went to my room to get sleep.
