Welcome to When the World Turns, it warms my heart to know you're reading my story.
The story follows Max Mei Lin, a girl stuck between pain and healing. Navigating emotional wounds, high school cruelty, and a slow discovery of love and hope. Her life takes a turn in a quiet stairwell. It's heartfelt and written with pieces of myself tucked into the pages.
The stairwell on the cover is inspired by a real place where I often found peace during some of my hardest moments. While the school in this story isn't based on any real school, the stairwell was too special to not be included.
I first created this story when I was just 14. Now, as an adult, I’ve returned to it with fresh eyes. I’ve kept its heart intact while giving it the strength and clarity it once lacked. I hope you’ll join me in experiencing this journey, then and now.
