Chapter 1.The Start

Yerin's POV

I'm alone

I'm all alone.My parents left us early.They passed away when I was just 6 years old.They died in a car accident.I was left with my Younger sister whom I'm living with right now and I need to find a way to let us live everyday.

"Ne,kamsahamnida!(yes!Thank you)"-I shout back at our chief manager.

I am here at a Coffee shop working so that we will have something to eat.

"Time check,9:00 pm.Your shift is done,Yerin.You can go home now.See you tomorrow"-said one of my co-worker here.

"Ne.See you tomorrow"-I said and smiled at her and then left the Coffee Sop.

By the way,I'm Veinelope Yerin Lee.Unique right?well,that's my Mom's decision.She is Half Filipino and Half Canadian while my father is a Korean.By that,I am a 1/4 Filipino and Canadian and half Korean.I'm 19 years old.I live in Seoul with my younger sister and I'm a working student.I study in the morning and then work at night.

I walk home with a paper bag filled with foods and the things we need in our house.

*KNOCK*KNOCK*

I knock at our door.Finally,I got home safe.The door slightly opens and there revealed my sister peeking at me.

"It's me,your sister.I'm not a stranger"-I told her and she opens the door instantly.

"I'm not used to you not saying a thing before you knock"-Joy Yejin Lee,my younger sister.She's 17 years old.She's old enough but she's not matured enough when in comes in thinking and attitude.

"I'm Sorry.By the way,how was your school?"-I asked her as I put down the paper bag on the table.

"Well,as usual.More projects and homeworks."-she answered and let out a deep sigh.

"Do you need help?Just tell me.I'm going to help you"-I said with a concerned tone of voice.

"No.It's okey.You've work so hard for us and I don't want to add up on your problems."-she said.

"Hey,It's alright.I'm your sister and it's one of my duty to help and protect you"-then I sat beside her.

"Thank you,unnie.So,let's eat?I'm really hungry."-she said while holding her stomach.I just chuckled and get up to prepare our foods.

We're done eating and Yejin is now sleeping.I'm still awake because I still have some homeworks to finish.

"*sigh*This should be done by now or else my professor will scold me for this"-I said to myself while finishing my works.

"I can do this.Fighting"-I cheered myself up and continue on my works.

(The Next Day)

"Unnie?Unnie-ya?"-I woke up by the voice of Yejin waking me up.

"N-ne(yes)"-I said as I rub my eyes clearing my vision.

"I'll be at the living room.I'll wait for you there."-Yejin said and then she goes out of the room.

I looked around and I saw many papers in the floor.

"Did I just slept doing my homeworks?"-Well,obviously,I did.I pick up the papers and arrange them.I looked at the clock.

7:10 a.m.

O.O

Oh shocks!20 more minutes and I'm late.I tidy up the room really fast.
