"I thought I was the only one at the orphanage! I've been here my whole life and nobody here has ever had diabetes. Type one or type two! You mean to tell me you are the first person I can relate to in my life?! I can't believe this. Please don't tell me you're joking! Please," Camille frowned, looked down, then back at me. "I've had it since I was six. You have no idea how happy I was when I heard my roommate was a diabetic. I didn't get the best of first impressions though,". Then she smiled again. I looked embarrassed and said, "heh heh, sorry about that. I was just unstable. Hey, do you happen to know why I can't move? Is it low blood sugar or..." Camille pressed her lips together and curled them under. "Part of it is low blood sugar. Your blood sugar is still in the thirties. But mostly since most of your cells died, your limbs and such are not able to move very easily. That happened to me too. I was in a wheelchair for a while but now I can walk short distances and such. I don't know if it will get any better though. You are currently being pumped with glucose and such. You were in range for an hour or so yesterday but that's about it."

"So I will be able to move, yes?"

"Hopefully soon, most likely. I will visit you more but I have to go now."

"Ok. Thank you. Hope you settle in the dorm nicely. Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can. I'll crash your party soon. Bye!"

"Bye"

When she left I felt really tired and almost instantly went to sleep. I guess that's the price for low blood sugar. For once in my life, I couldn't wait to get back to the orphanage. Then I wished I hadn't tried to commit suicide. Then I would get out of the hospital sooner and I wouldn't have to go to therapy. Actually, I wouldn't even be in the hospital if I didn't commit suicide. Wow. I was really stupid.
