--- I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter....but none the less here it is!----
Gaby’s POV –
I woke up to my alarm at 7 am but today was different somehow. I turned and looked to my left and saw Amanda lying there. Immediately I smiled. I love that all it takes for me to smile is to see her. Either she heard my alarm also or she ‘felt’ me staring at her, regardless of what it was she started to wake.
As she fidgeted awake she turned to see me smiling at her. A small smile peaked out and then she shuddered away saying, “Guhh I look like crap.” I answered in complete honesty, without hesitation, “No. You look beautiful.” She laughed at me and rolled out of bed. I tried to grab her playfully as she got up but she saw me and jumped up and ran to the bathroom with me yelling behind her, “I’m serious!”
As she was getting ready I decided to check my emails, facebook, etc. After about 10 minutes I hear Amanda come out and walk up behind me. She hugs me from behind and kisses my cheek.
“Well thank you babe. Better now that you’re awake’?”
“Yes! But you know I’m not a morning person.”
“Me either! But you’re beautiful 24/7.” She blushed a little while she smiled and I said, “Whaa? It’s the truth!”
“Thankssss!”
“What classes you got going on today?”
“Ughhh so many. Just glad I don’t have to work!”
“Yeah I don’t finish until 3:45 so you’ll prolly be out before me.”
“Alright well I’ll text you kay, I gotta go home and get my books and stuff.”
“Ok babe love you.”
“Love you!” she said as she planted one on me surprising me.
“Whoa you can kiss me when I’m not decent but I can’t even try?” I said laughing. She laughed, waved, and said goodbye as she walked out.
The rest of the day went by surprisingly quick. I went to my classes, one after the other. Sometimes I feel like a drone; I wake up, go to class, and eat occasionally, study and do homework, and then sleep. The next day it just starts all over again. My only salvation is when I think about Amanda, she makes me smile and my heart feel all bubbly.
Sitting in the library, failing at studying, I began to think about her again. This time I was thinking about doing something incredible for her. Take her out to a nice dinner that’d be good. But then again she is always worried about other people’s opinions and judgment’s. Well she will be so blown away by the surprise she won’t even realize….hopefully.
I don’t know many fancy restaurants so I decided to call my cousin Danny and ask him. He lives here with his wife, and they are newlyweds. So I scrolled through my contacts and found his number, under Danito and pressed send to call him.
As the phone rings I realize that my cousin doesn’t know I’m gay let alone that I have a girlfriend and my heart started racing. Just as I was about to hang up the phone he answers.
“Hello?” he says. I contemplated hanging up for a split second when he said hello again and I had to answer.
“Hey Danito. It’s Gaby haha yeah you know that already. How are you?”
