It's currently 19:32pm and I am waiting in my sitting room for the doorbell to go. I spent literally thirty minutes deciding what to wear then remembered it's only Nate and he's seen me at my best and at my worst... So now you're probably wondering what I'm talking about well it's not exciting at all, it was this one night that we went to a guy called Simon's house party, which I don't really remember at all due to the fact that we had just got our end our term reports and mine consisted of what felt like every single letter of the alphabet apart from an A or a B. You're probably reading this thinking 'What's the problem?' The problem was I'd always been a straight 'A' student and this was the first time ever that my report didn't show all 'A's and of course I got in so much trouble for this from my mum and Glenn and also all of my teachers; who thought it would be appropriate to call my mum and tell her before I got the chance to.

Anyway every single teacher that spoke to me about my appalling grades said the exact same thing 'Alex, stop all contact with Mr Simmons, it's for your own good', but I wasn't listening to any of them, just because Nate wasn't good in school didn't mean he was the reason my grades dropped. I made my own choices he didn't make them for me!

So of course when we were invited to Simon's house party I jumped at the chance but Nate wasn't so keen; so we compromised. We agreed that we would go to the party that night if I bought him dinner the next day, and so that deal was settled. However it wasn't such a good idea for me to go to that party and looking back I should have listened to Nate and stayed at home. All I remember myself from that night is sitting in the Simmons's household with my head over the toilet for a good few hours before I fell asleep, or blacked out and well woke up next to Nate in bed, although all we did was sleep; I've been assured of that! From what I was told after it though I had a great time dancing on tables, taking shots, playing dares and apparently I joined in, in a game of seven minutes in heaven; but I doubt that actually happened, considering I asked Nate and he said nothing about it... and that my friends is exactly why I no longer care what I look like in front of him.

Anyway back to what I'm wearing tonight, my outfit choice for tonight is my low rise, black, ripped skinny jeans and my short half top which has 'Bassists are good but Guitarists are better' written across it in black. If you didn't guess from this top I love playing guitar and all my favourite members of bands, I spend countless hours listening to are guitarists. I also curled the ends of my hair and tied the middle section up but that was just one of my many everyday hairstyles.

I was now 19:55pm and Nate had just pulled up outside my house; I walked through the room and to the hall to open the front door and there he was; my best friend who I hadn't seen in six months.

"Fancy seeing you here" Nate said with a smirk.

I lightly hit him and just smiled.

"Well are you going to invite me in or have I been banned in the past six months by your parents?" he joked.

My parents hated Nate for no reason; they would constantly tell me what a waste his was; how he was playing me and how he was such a bad influence on me... Oh yeah because you were there for me that night after Simon's party mum... Good one, you wouldn't even open the door to me! Nothing was going to stop me seeing or talking to Nate.

"Nah, I know they hate you but they haven't put a ban in place yet so you're fine... well for now anyway" I laughed

"I just have to put my shoes on and then we can go" I shouted from halfway up the stairs.

"Hurry up, you're always so late!" Nate sarcastically said, because that's all I ever said to him. "I was on time tonight girl so hurry up!" he laughed.

"I'm coming" I shouted whilst frantically trying to tie my white converse so as I was ready to go.

"Right I'm here and ready! Where we going?" I said excitedly.

"Secret m'dear, now let's go" Nate said as he walked towards the door.

Nate was dressed in his usual attire which was black skinny jeans, checked shirt and a jumper. His blonde/brown hair was super curly and beautiful; it made me really want to run my hands through it from front to back, Although I knew Nate would never allow that; he hated anyone touching his hair especially girls because he believed they'd ruin it... he's weird that way.

I jumped in his car and we drove off down the road, Nate's family were rich so him having his own top of the range car was no surprise to anyone; however he didn't throw his family's wealth in anyone's face he just accepted that he was born into it and it really wasn't his to spend seeing as his parents worked hard to earn it.

I was so excited to see whereabouts we were going to be eating because it was so long since I'd been out for dinner and also the fact that I was starving! I decided it would be a good idea to start conversation about how the past six months where for Nate.

"So... How was your time away?" I asked

"Eh. I'd rather not talk about it." Nate replied quietly

This was so not like him; he always had so many stories to tell me about his time away.

"You sure?" I asked shyly

"Yeah... Look I'd rather just spend tonight with you if that's okay? We can talk about the past six months later." Nate replied sounding serious.

"By tonight do you mean just dinner or the whole night?" I asked confused

"The whole night, like the time after Simon's party, I've just missed you a lot" He replied

"Umm yeah sure that's fine, I'm home alone this week anyway" I answered

"Well we're here, you hungry?" He asked

"Starving" I replied quickly

"Good, now let's go eat" Nate said

We pulled up outside one of my favourite restaurants, TGI Fridays, however the only thing I could really think of was how odd Nate was being throughout our conversation.
