*Ashley's POV*
------------
How can my life get worse. First it was my parents yelling and screaming at three in the morning, then my sister with her whole 'I'm better then you because I'm a model and you're not', then my boyfriend, that I was dating for almost 2 years, cheats on me: repeatedly. Oh wait I have an idea, I could go to college in a totally different school than planed, with absolutely non of my friends. Well fuck, guess I'm doing that to.

" honey are you ready?" My mom asks as she walks in to my room, it's the day of my high school graduation. My mother has a blue cardigan over a knee length floral sun dress with a big floppy green hat and blue flats. I'm already in my cream colored robes.

"ummm.... Mom, please tell me your not wearing that hat with that outfit." I say, and hand her my blue floppy hat, Grandma Paris gave them to us, I try to avoid wearing mine, but Grandma makes us wear them... Reasons why Myra is always out of town when ever she hears Grandma is in town. Hers is pink.

"Thanks, lets go" my mother suggests, bringing me out of my haze. I smile at her. She takes my hand and pulls me down the stairs.

"There's my little girl!" My Father exclaims as I reach the last step. He pulls me into a hug, completely ignoring my mom. Well at least they're not yelling.... Yet.

We pull into the school at half past 5. Right on time. Myra took her own car to the graduation, so if Grandma shows she can head home without getting spotted.

"Ash!" My friend, Lisa, calls. I turn.

"hay" I say.

"oh my god, can't believe, we're all leaving! Oh I'm gunna cry." Her makeup starts running down her cheeks. "Shit" she says wiping her cheeks.

Nervous jitters hit me like a truck, I'm actually doing this. I'm actually going away, I'm leaving my home. Happiness fills me at this thought; I've never belonged hear.

I belong on a stage, with lines memorized, with my every move written down, and mistakes are not pointed out. I belong in the world of theater.

That's what's up with the last minute collage change; I got excepted in a school that I thought I never would, well actually I got a scholarship, i didn't even bother trying out for it. New York Film Academy, one of the best acting schools in the U.S., or at least I think so.

Lisa an I rush over and take our seats, we're sitting right next to each other since it goes alphabetical by last name, her last name is Parer, we are the only people with P last names. To my left sits a guy with shaggy brown hair. Jason, a total jock, and player. He smiles at me. I roll my eyes, he's been trying to get in my pants since freshmen year.

" Quickie in the storage room?" He whispers to me. See what I mean.

" hell no" I whisper back.

" oh come on, everyone knows your leaving, come on, just this once?"

"No, now shush" I whisper, David- valedictorian- has started his speech. Some shit about how this isn't the end it was the beginning, I'm pretty sure he just stole his brothers - he graduated 2 years ahead of us.

David is gay, so gay it's not even funny. Plus he has no problem with making out with his boyfriend in the hall. He's also one of my best friends. It gets awkward, especially since his boyfriend wares lipstick, and then they kiss, and David has lipstick staines all over his face, like now for instance. Bright red lipstick. Maybe I should say that I'm in the back row, If I can see it so can everyone else.

"Is that lipstick on his face?" Jason noticed, everyone else has as well, Jason's always the last one.

"no it's blood," I say sarcastically. He's not listening.

"is that your lipstick on his face?" He asks seriously .

" the fuck? You know he's gay right?" I say back.

"Of course, but I think you and your sexy body could turn him." He says back, I give him a are-you-crazy look. He snorts. " that was a complement" . I glare at him, he just smirks at me. I roll my eyes and turn my intention back to David, just in time to hear his last line. Wow that was short.

The principle started calling out names not giving enough time for the applause to die down, the first 3 had to be called again. He called my name and the hall went silent. I looked towards the crowd, to see them all staring at the roof.

"We've been waiting for you, Ashley."
