Chapter 26: Past vs Present

[Eunjung's POV]

After dinner Soohyun hands me a bag, "What's this?" He takes a sip of wine, "Clothes."

"Clothes? What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"

"Nothing, we're just not done." With no further questions I get up and go change. The outfit was pretty casual, nothing that'll cause too much attention.

A white t-shirt and some dark blue jeans and converse. Takes me back to the old days. As I changed I noticed one last thing on the bottom of the bag. I reach in to see a red wig, just as I had for my graduation.

I put it on and adjust it, before going out I double check to see if my outfit looked good. Then I put on a doctors mask that had a cute little panda on it and my black sunglasses.

I put in my dress, heels, and jewelry into the bag and go outside, I get to the table to see Soohyun wearing the exact same thing and I just knew what was his plan.

"Yah! Why you wearing the same thing!" Soohyun laughs, "Because today we're going to act like a couple." I scoff, "Over my dead body!" I throw the backpack at him and make my way out.

"Wait!" Soohyun stops me, "I know you still hate me-" I release my wrist from his grip. "Yeah haven't I made that obvious enough."

"But I know you still have something for me."

"Really? How?" Soohyun holds my hand and comes in closer, "Like how you agreed to go on this date with me." I shove him back, "Because you said this was going to be a business dinner."

Soohyun comes closer, not giving up, "That doesn't matter, what matters is that you still like me. I can see it in your eyes, I've been seeing it for the past few weeks we've been working together. Look, if I'm just seeing stuff tell me now and I'll let you go."

As I was about to tell Soohyun to give up he stops me, "But don't act like this date hasn't brought back memories." In a split second all my memories with him start to flow back.

Without realizing it, a tear runs down my face. I quickly wipe it off and look into Soohyun's eyes, "Soohyun." I hug him as my tears start flow, not wanting to stop.

"You selfish jerk! How could you just leave me like that! Thinking that I'd wait for you to come back like if nothing happened!" Soohyun hugs me tighter, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

[Key's POV]

Aish chinja! When is Eunjung going to come home! I'm bored out of my mind! What if she spends the night at Soohyun's house! No way!

She wouldn't do that, would she? No I'm just getting paranoid. "Key we're home!" I snap out of my thoughts thinking that Eunjung had gotten home.

"Yah! Rude girl how could you-" Taemin walks in my room, "Hyung? Are you okay?" With disappointment I sigh, "No I'm fine, just thought Eunjung was home."

Taemin sits on the edge of my bed, "She's not here?" I shake my head, "She went out on a date." With shock Taemin immediately stands up, "A date?! With who?! Onew hyung! Come here now!"

Onew hyung walks in with his backpack still on, "What is it?" Taemin runs to Onew, "Hyung, Eunjung went out on a date." His eyes widened, "With who?"

Onew and Taemin look at me, "Soohyun." They both look at me with shock and confusion, "I thought she hated him"

"Seems like them working together helped reconnect them." Onew's expression was empty, he sits on the bed with no words. "Hyung are you okay?" Taemin sits next to Onew, "I guess he's a little disappointed."
