jimin paced around his and yoongi's shared apartment, waiting for the older to come home. he chewed on his fingernails nervously.

it was eleven at night. yoongi should've been home by now.

he heard his phone go off on the couch and rushed to retrieve it, hoping it was yoongi.

it was taehyung.

he sighed softly before answering his phone. "what do you need, tae?"

"i'm outside. come on."

"but i wasn't planning on going anywhere," he mimbled, looking down at his baggy oversized hoodie and basketball shorts.

"come onnnn," taehyung whined impatiently. "put on your vans or something, let's go."

"fine," he huffed. he slipped on the first pair of shoes he saw and walked out the door, locking it. he made his way to the car before huffing and plopping down in the seat. as soon as jimin put on his seatbelt, taehyung pulled out the parking space and sped off.

"tae, where the fuck are we going?"

"you'll see."

moments later, they arrived in a field. jimin looked up and his eyes darted around the area.

"i swear to god, if you're about to pull some 'children of the corn' shit on me-"

"we're not. relax." he popped his head out the window and yelled across the field, "hit it!" a few seconds later, tiny fairy lights came on, illuminating a small portion of where they were.

jimin noticed a small blanket and tent, as well as a cooler and a relatively small couch. he looked in the direction where taehyung yelled to and spotted a truck with a generator and hoseok sitting on the tailgate, grinning. he pointed back towards the lit section and jimin turned to see yoongi emerge from the tent.

"hi," yoongi said, looking down slightly. he was dressed similarly to jimin, making him look smaller.

jimin ran up to yoongi and wrapped his arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. "i was worried," he mumbled.

"you should be the least worried at this point," yoongi said, barely audible.

"what?"

yoongi backed away from jimin's embrace and held his hands in his own. he took a deep breath. "park jimin. we've known each other for about nine months already. almost a year. and i don't need a long ass monologue to express how much i love you. you're honestly the best thing to happen to my life, and i could never be more grateful." he let go of one of jimin's hands and reached into his hoodie pocket before pulling out a small black box.

"i know this isn't exactly how its supposed to happen. i'm supposed to be down on one knee and all, and you're probably supposed to have your hand over your mouth to keep from blubbering, but this isn't a normal relationship." he chuckled.  he opened up the box to reveal a silver and gold band. "so, park jimin, will you please do me the honor of marrying me?"

jimin looked up at him slightly and nodded feverishly, face beaming with a bright smile. "yes, min yoongi, i will," he said. he grabbed onto yoongi and pulled him into a tight hug, and yoongi picked him up and spun him around.

jimin let go and yoongi quickly slipped the band onto his ring finger, before picking him up and spinning him around once more. "he said yes!" he screamed, and heard loud cheers from where taehyung and hoseok sat together, before a loud thud was heard, caused by taehyung falling back onto the bed of the tailgate of hoseok's truck.
