Summer love

The town

~Amanda's POV~

It's about 10:00 am in the morning and my grandma and I are going into town for a while so I can get to know the area better and meet new people. I have a good feeling about this summer. Last summer was horrible.. Me and my friend Carly were at cedar point waiting in line for The Gatekeeper. It had already shut down at least 3 times while we were in the line. When it was our turn, the ride stopped and we were on the very tip top. It was so scary. You can see the whole amusement park from up there. So we sat there for hours waiting for the repair guys to fix the ride and get down.

Anyways, it was time to go. Me and grandma got into the car and went off to the town. It shouldn't take too long to get there since it was only about 7 minutes away. When we arrived we parked our car in the lot. It was packed with people! But I was keeping my eyes on all of the hot guys there.. Holy crap! I at least spotted 4 that were the best looking. "Amanda sweetheart I'm going to go into the market to pick out some vegetables for dinner tonight. Go ahead and walk around if you like," says my grandma. "Ok," I replied instantly while she was on her way across the street to the market.

I start to walk around the town. I make my way to the town square and see a crowd of kids chasing each other and playing around. I don't even realize where I'm waking and completely run into someone! "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention!" I say right away. Guess who it was. If you said that guy that was walking down the street last night. Your correct. "Oh don't worry about it it was my fault" he says. "Hey didn't I see you down the street last night?" He asks. OMG! He did notice me after all! "Uh yea I was walking with, um.. My grandma! Ya we were just taking a stroll." I say. Oh my gosh Amanda what the hell are you doing? I think to myself so no one could hear me. Great. Now he's going to think I'm nuts. This isn't going how I imagined me talking to him like that. "Well uh I got to go um.. We'll catch up later?" He says while staring right into my eyes. Oh my god his eyes are so freakin gorgeous!! "Yes of course. My name is Amanda by the way." I say while we're shaking hands. His skin is so soft like a baby's but. That sounds wierd but you get the point. "Luke" he says. "Alright well bye nice running into you," I say before he walks away.

Its been about a half-hour since me and Luke ran into each other. I still cannot believe that happened. He seemed into me.. Didn't he? I lost my train of thought when my phone beeps a couple times. It's my grandma. I answer the phone. "Hello?" I say. "Hi sweetie would you like to come down to the coffee shop? Some of my friends are here and I would like you to meet them." She replies. "Yeah sure I'll be there in 5." I say before I hit the end button on the phone.

I don't know where the coffee shop is so I make my way to a big map of the town that is by a little flower bed near the river. I'm not that far away. It should be straight ahead of me just a little ways. So I keep walking straight ahead while viewing all the stores. Wow there's even a Starbucks here? I'm definitely heading there soon. I finally find the coffee shop and see my grandma and 4 other people at the same table as her.

I walk in the shop and my grandma comes up and hugs me. "What took you so long?" She asks with a little laugh. "Oh well I didn't know exactly where the place was so I found a map to look for it and eventually I found my way." I respond while having a bright smile across my face. "Alright well at least your here. I want you to meet my close friends. This is Barb,Shannon,Lisa, and Liz." She says while pointing them out. "Hi I'm Amanda," I say politely. "Nice to meet you Amanda." They say excitedly. "I have a granddaughter that looks about your age. Maybe you and my little Maria could get together some time." She says. "That would be amazing. I need some friends here anyways." I say. We all sat down talking and eating lunch together for the next hour.

The rest of the night went pretty smooth. We got home from the town and made dinner using the vegetables my grandma got. We ended up having clam chowder soup with a side of green beans. Yum!

After dinner I look outside to look at the sun going down. It's about 7:30 pm and it's close of getting dark. As I'm admiring the sky, I see Luke walking his little dog in front of my lawn. He looks over my way. Shit! Did he see me stalking him? I hope not. He turns back around and continues walking his dog. Could the rest of my day get any better? I leave the window and go upstairs to my room and get ready for bed. Man, wasn't today just swell?..

Hey guys sorry it's been a while since I've updated. Couldn't think about what to write. Anyways you can see that the chapter was almost 1000 words so it was obviously longer than the first chapter. Vote, comment, like& read!!
