For the first hour or so she had just felt fury, and had screamed out curses and threats in her rage. Now, she was just scared that she would never again feel the golden warmth of the sun on her face, or the sweet wind kissing and nipping at her cheeks. Her eyes closed as she thought about the feel of the soft blades of grass beneath her feet, and the heavy scent of falling rain. She felt the cool trickle of water over her face and opened her bright green eyes. The desired feeling had disappeared immediately after and she sighed, wishing that she could feel something other than the painful rope, the cold pole and the dusty flooring. Her stomach ached with hunger, and her mouth was as dry as the desert. She flickered her eyes around the pitch dark, once again wishing for a light.
