"I can't believe you let Adam Freely dump you Gin" Melissa said to her bestfriend as they walked towards their second class of the day. "To be completely honest with you Mel, if you want him you can have him, he was so boring" Ginger responded patting her friend on the back "just like you" she added.
Melissa scoffed "rude".
Ginger laughed knowing she could be rude at times. Melissa says whatever comes to her head and that's what everyone in Barbous Garde High love/hate about her. Ginger Mullins was the most popular girl in her school and her bestfriend Melissa Wade was in close second. They both had brown hair and soft olive skin. People would mistake them for twins until Ginger cut her hair. Melissa always thought that was the reason people drew to ginger more. The real reason was because ginger was out spoken and opinionated, if you did anything that she found unfair or mean or even just plain dumb she let you know. Some people loved her for it and some people hated but they all respected her.
Just as they were about to enter their history class the fire alarm went off. "Weird, this is the third time today and it's only 10 am. I'm starting to think someone is pulling the alarm" Melissa said following the crowd of kids walking toward the side door. Ginger giggled and pulled her friend the opposite direction to the west side of the building towards the gym. "Where are we going" Mel panted trying to keep up with her friends pace. Ginger ignored her and kept pulling her to the gym. Inside the gym Melissa found ginger's ex boyfriend Sammy Delgado and his gang. Melissa rolled her eyes knowing nothing good would come from this.
"Look who finally decided to show up" Sammy said lighting a cigarette. "I figured it was you after the second one, you always know how to get my attention" Ginger said walking over to the group leaving Melissa behind. Ginger kissed Sammy passionately so passionate that they started to make everyone uncomfortable. After about 2 mins of watching them foreplay Melissa got fed up "Really guys, you did all this just so we can watch you suck each other's face off ".
Ginger detached herself from sammy and smiled at Melissa "actually this is just the beginning"she said as she pranced to the gym door.
"If you're leaving with them I'm not going with you, I have to get my baby from child development" Melissa semi yelled from inside the high.
Ginger couldn't hear a thing she said by that time the boys were already following behind her to Sammys mom minivan.
Melissa began to walk back to class but quickly remembered the fire drill.
"Dammit, now I have to go out there anyway" she said to herself.
