Lacey Mason was exactly what every parent dreamed of: a sweet girl who had amazing friends, kept her grades up, and volunteered whenever the occasion arose. The Mason's couldn't have asked for anything more. And then the accident happens. The life changing moment where Lacey is no longer wanted by the Mason household. How could their daughter let something so horrendous happen?

Seeing Lacey's face hurts the family too much. They can't bare to look at her and see the lost life. Sending her off to the middle of nowhere in Oregon to live with her aunt and uncle seemed like the best idea, a lifesaving idea.

Then she meets Griffin Temple. Griffin, the boy who was willing to be her friend when friends seemed years away. Griffin, the boy who loved every piece of Lacey without knowing. Griffin, the first person who had cared since everything happened, although he had no idea what was running through her mind.

Lacey can't help but fall for Griffin, but it's so wrong to love someone after what happened. It doesn't feel right, but then again, nothing can be normal now. Little does she know, Griffin might just be the missing piece in the puzzle to fill her broken heart.
