"Shot gun!" Brady, my younger brother, shouted as we reached Conrad's car.

"Dude, that isn't even how it works in my car," Conrad replied with a laugh. "Lacey always rides front. You know, seniority and all. She has two years on you."

"Two years is literally nothing," Brady tried to reason.

"Don't tell that to any juniors next school year," I butted in. "We are vicious creatures."

"Did you hear Connie?" a little voice, Olivia's, came from the back seat.

"What," Conrad asked responding to the nickname only Olivia was allowed to called him.

"I'm in Mrs. Vera's class! Mama said she's really nice."

"I'm so jealous Liv!" Conrad said back in an excited voice he used only towards Olivia. "And I'm sure Mrs. Vera would love to see all of your new pink school supplies."

"Kindergarten sounds like so much fun Liv," I said. "Stay away from the boys though."

"Boys are gross," she bluntly replied. "Connie is okay, but Brady is kind of weird."
I couldn't help but laugh as my adorable little sister rambled on about the differences between our brothers.

"Where are we even going?" I asked as I realized I had no clue where we were, yet we were a good thirty minutes outside of our area of Los Angeles.

"I'm dropping you and Liv off at a park we usually don't go to, and I thought Brady and I would go help Mom and Dad at the new house."

Our parents were wealthy, often leaving us four kids alone for several weeks, and flipped houses for a living. It was stressful for us; we rarely ever saw our parents and when we did, it was always for a short amount of time. When Conrad, Brady and I were younger we had a nanny, but now the parents figured we were suitable to take care of Olivia.

"Connie?" Olivia piped from the middle seat where she was buckled into her carseat.

"Yes?" he asked as he paid close attention to the road.

"Can we get lunch first?"

"I second that," Brady added.

"I'm a little hungry too," I said.

"Why am I filled in a car with a bunch of food lovers?" Conrad mumbled under his breath while turning into a McDonald's that happened to be to the right of us.

Shortly after finding a parking spot, we swiftly unbuckled. Olivia's small hand was wrapped around my left with my purse swung on my right arm.

"Con, I'll go find a seat, okay?" I said one we entered through the Golden Arches. "Olivia tell Conrad what you want."

"Okay Connie, I want a Happy Meal. With a girl toy," she replied, emphasizing the girl toy part.

"Cheeseburger or nuggets?" Conrad simply asked our little sister.

"Chicken!" she cried out.

"I'll have a salad," I shouted as I scanned the room for a booth away from other patrons.

"You can sit across from me," Olivia said in her cute, little high pitched voice. "I want Conrad to sit by me. And only me."

Olivia was a cute little girl. She had long, curly brown hair with big blue eyes that were bluer than possible. Despite being only five, she was pretty feisty and smart. She knew how to use her adorable charm to win over everyone. You couldn't help but love her.

"Okay silly, Conrad can sit by you," I replied with a quick laugh.

"Here's the scrumptious food," Brady announced. He gently set one of two trays on the table.
